If you ever wondered if EA could make defense work

Go play a solo. Lockdown, catlike superhuman reflexes, ALL their defenders are fast enough to catch the fastest player in the game. This game was clearly designed by AI and EA needs to offer mass refunds similar to what payday 3 did. Not to mention stealing peoples time and money over a week, wheres our stuff we earned and/or paid for?

If h2h could play like epic challenges, defense and offense play would be solid.   Cpu played lights out in those challenges for the most part.

Yeah basically thats what i was trying to say, if the ai in online worked HALF as good as it does in challeneges the user wouldnt have to do everythjng and be everywhere at every time on defense. Which would be "sim" there are no one man defenses in real life, everyone has to do their part. Its extremely frustrating.

Edir: on a related note, the switch stick was a HUGE miss imo, in both games. It doesnt work reliably and even if it did, its inferior to the okd model of "press circles" to give me the closest player. Half the time it doesnt switch at all and if it does it gives you the wrong player.

I love the switch stick.  I don't use zone drops anymore because of it.   I am my own zone drop.  Worth learning. 

If you don't like it and never will, you can turn it off.

Can you? I didnt even know that. But eveb if you can, im not sure it would help, because i dont use it anymore anyway, i do the old and trued nethod "hit circle" but it never gives me the right defender (it did before they intorduced the swotch stick, which is why even if you can turn it off im not sire it would help)

Also, the ONE good use of the seotch stick would be to start as a pass rusher and switch quickly to where the play is vulnerable but unless theyve chabged it you CANT use switch stick off the dl)

Yes you can turn it off, no you can't switch off anyone who doesn't have a zone assignment in a given play. 

My use is to cover the middle and then switch to the sides based on where I see the play going, basically I'm making offensive reads based on my opponents play and trying to switch where I think they'll go first, forces mistakes.

Thanks for the insight. I gave up on it relatively early in cfb (dont think ive ever used it intentionally in madden) i might try playing around with it more.
