I'll never understand why they keep

Nerfing defense. Like dude, defense is not what needs nerfing, offense is. Just like in real life. Football isn't a 7 on 7 passing camp. Forget 7 on 7 might as well be going against air. I admit it used to maybe be a little TOO assisted to lurk, but now they've clearly nerfed the animations way too much. They never "attack the ball" when you try to make a play the way they used to.

Let's nerf the kiddy offenses please, spamming hurry up and running the same rpos over and over is not it.

I agree that I would prefer defense to play stronger...I can only imagine EA does this to cater to the "arcade" section of their base. A few years back (don't remember what year...but you could only have three players with abilities on each side of the ball (as many as you could fit on these three...but only three) I enjoyed the game much more.  You could play solid defense and hang in...I played in countless games that year that went deep into the 4th quarter...this year in hundreds of H2H games...the vast majority end the first half (most of them in the first quarter).  I can only imagine whatever they are thinking must benefit them (EA) in some way...but it sure doesn't make the game more fun for me.

I agree with prwtty much everything you said. I think that ability setup would def be more interesting. Either that or allow even MORE ridiculous and unlimit3d abilities etc. 

Pick a lane. You cant pleaae the casuals/kids AND "real" diehard fans so stop trying. Either go full arcade and let someone else make a real football game or cut the bull.

"Pick a lane"...perfect phrase.  When EA tries to please everyone...they please no one. Maybe they could consider two different modes (oh they can consider it...but...we both know they are not going to do it).

I think having multiple modes and letting players choose which mode they want to play is the best solution. The reason it likely won’t happen is 100% because of $$$. If half of the player base chooses to play the mode without abilities EA wouldn’t be selling as many packs and controlling the market the way they are now.

I just hope they don’t f up college football like Madden. As soon as it drops deleting this trash game. finally another football game to play. Always preferred the ncaa games over Madden. Now with the niland whatnot praying we get a college hoops soon so I can rid myself of nba 2k aswell lol I bought the bundle but madden 25 I’ll only be partaking in superstar mode so I can import my road to glory. Outside of that college for everything else.

if you don’t know how to stop Rpos at this point of the cycle, it’s a skill issue. and yes I get it, sometimes there is luck involved and with perfect set up you still get shit on, but that is an oddity. what they need to nerf is vanguard, I’ve used 4 of em in the obj grind and went 80-0, over a week. I wish I was lying but im Not. No defense can stop stretch and 4 vgs if I played against this, I would quit too.

they've let defense be OP in previous maddens. It's a video game, it is meant to be fun not frustrating. I'll sign up for barn burner shootouts every day over winning games 10-7, 3-0. The days of stock cover 3 boxing everything were garbage

Defense has been awful all year. If it wasn't for KOs, nobody would be able to get stops. KOs are OP and they ruin the game so there you go. Worst MUT ever

My 4-3 even 6-1 with a 2-5 personal (2 DT's, 5 LB's) and a lot of avalanches/ST has had success against the run heavy 4 vanguard sets, but you really have to know what your doing. 

Also having Film study does help, as there are only of 7-8 plays that people run with the heavy run sets, and once I know what's coming, I can commit to stopping it pretty effectively.  It does not work 100% of the time, but I have a pretty good success rate.
