I don't understand the hype behind LB's, I had Ray Lewis for a bit, they don't get as good animations as safeties, would rather have two safeties as my subLB's... still run Sean Taylor at SUBLB2, he has good all around stats and moves way better than LB's, just plugged in Pola-Mao at SUBLB1 and before that had Kam with Lurker...
I personally don't get why anybody would choose a LB over a solid safety for Nickel / Dime LB's...
also - Kam has a 90 BSH and Sean Taylor has an 87 BSH with good enough pass rush moves... Taylor has been a good blitzer / pass rusher for me at SUBLB2, mainly because his BSH and the way he moves is way more agile than any LBs..
Lurk Artist is just Lurker with Pick Artist for 1AP. Lurker is good enough and I've been usering Rodriguez with Lurker. What I have noticed is even the CPU will animate better with even just Lurker on. With all of that said he only sees the field when in heavy run games. Safeties are still the way to go, even with the read and react AI update.

agree - was just reading the read / react AI thing, not understanding how that makes a case for LB's... it makes a case for not coming out in dime/nickel when your opponent is run heavy... am I missing something ?

could make a strong case it's more realistic as is... should an 88 JMP LB be as athletic as an 88 JMP safety? on a relative basis no... that LB is probably a 70 JMP as a safety (when you compare apples to apples...) he's also at least 30-40lbs heavier...
from a realistic standpoint it makes more sense if an 88 JMP safety gets way better animations than an 88 JMP LB...

For read and react to go I to effect, you need to match personnel. So if they come out with two TEs, you would need any combination of 7 defensive lineman and LBs. On paper it sounds good but read and react does not come into play with RPOs so it was honestly just a wasted effort by EA.

look at this pic tho, has anybody got an animation like this with a LB (even using lurk artist)? this ball is like almost 10 yards behind him, was using mid zone KO and didn't even activate
actually thought about it more and mid zone KO seems kind of pointless since balls get knocked out all the time as is, so put lurker on him now and saved 1 AP

With that pic it looks like height played the most impactful role. On my defense I have nobody under 6'2". They have just animated better for years at that height.
confused why seems like most on here are so confused about the patch. only way you would get the benefit from it is if you run nickel with 2 LB's and they are in a 1 TE set... anything more than 1 TE and the 2 LB's in your nickel don't matter.. also a LB in dime makes no difference since it's min 5 v 6 unless they have no TE's which is likely never...
where's the film of the 6'2" LB animating like that? disagree it only has to do with height...
