Madden has sliders, if your ovr Is higher by 2 they come into effect, the more the difference the weirder things will get. This is a way for playing field to be more even and it is understandable in regular H2H, but in game mode where the goal is to have the best “ultimate” team, it is a pure robbery. I’ve skipped maddens since 2016 and decided to give it a shot in 24, things haven’t change, just became worse. The fact that I can run the cheese I did in 16 is ludicrous on its own..

I just played whatever came out each year. but yeah I have pretty much done a game or two every day of my life for several decades. I kinda use it as my breaktime for work etc.
When I was like 5 I used to cheese onside kicks in Joe Montana football on genesis…beat the cpu by 100+ points…was so proud of myself…the cpu now wants revenge and matches me with RPO sluts repeatedly.
I agree that there’s too much RNG like catching, knockouts, sailing passes, random fumbles, etc. And it’s infuriating.
I don’t know about games being predetermined or any of that. I’ve thrown away numerous games where I had a solid lead and threw a couple bad picks that were my fault and led to a loss. I don’t think EA can pre-determine my stupidity (yet).
I have seen a lot of weird shit though.

not even fully predetermined, but really swayed in 1 teams direction to the point of being unfair and stats not working the way they should.

I've felt that way sometimes, but I don't think they're good enough to code it. Look how broken gameplay is.
I can see what you are saying. Just stop playjng the game if it’s bothering you. it’s not worth it.
The game doesn't "predetermine" the winner, but the code clearly does manipulate the game in the name of "Any Given Sunday". That does tend to steer the outcome, sometimes heavily.
I don't understand why it's beneficial to alter the RNG formula for the sake of parity between mismatched teams. The winning side of the player base clearly exploits this by assigning low-OVR players in key roster spots to drag down the OVR and improve their chances of picks, block sheds, broken tackles, clutch catches, clutch knockouts, etc. So the bottom-feeders and players just getting started aren't going to benefit from the surreptitious tweaks as intended. Hurt most of all are the semi-competent gamers that manage to build up a solid roster, only to find they can no longer compete, ignorant of the fact their own unfocused strength all but guarantees their defeat.

would be awesome if they would just make it 100% even, skill and stat based, but I don't think they can because of so many years of people exploiting blitz'
yeah like I was playing house rules having a great game, I tied it up 27-27, I go for my extra point to win it and I get my field goal blocked and run back for a score. Totally felt scripted, my wife started laughing, me not so much!

Essentially, the idea posits that EA chooses a winner before each match.
Outlandish? Maybe, but sometimes it feels like I have to win games in spite of EA
For Example: earlier today in an online game, I called a play including a scissors concept (a corner and an intersecting post) and while normally these routes cross with no issue, today the cornerback shading my Y receiver bumped David Njoku off of his corner route, allowing his slot corner to jump the anticipatory throw for an easy interception. Furthermore, later in the game as I was driving down the field within the 2 minute warning, I threw a routine drag to Amari Cooper, who while not getting a crazy amount of separation, he bobbled the ball, and which popped directly into the hands of a waiting Terrell Bernard, who at that point was in the vicinity of the ball carrier. In no way, shape, or form should a 93 overall receiver drop a 5 yard drag route. This is even more frustrating when I realized I had a similar play while I was on defense that my cornerback (with pick artist mind you) dropped a tipped pass.
Am I becoming frustrated at nothing? Or is this something other people have experienced in the past as well?
Did you ever consider that every different opponent uses unique defensive adjustments specific to them, and other players just run stock coverages. I think that is what is happening here.

I do not have that same experience.

I have been playing madden consistently and long enough to know the difference
StoicTrader said:nah that seems crazy, anything is possible tho but it's probably just the mindset of focusing in on your mistakes and getting triggered so the human psyche looks for a reason / way to blame something, odds of that being true are extremely low IMO
Could I ask how long have you been playing MUT?
