Is Madden becoming to feel a little "RNG"?

It’s not football IQ that motivates a player to assign a peculiar combination of hot routes to induce a safety in the middle of the field already instructed to cover anything over the top to try to undercut a ten-yard corner route.

in my sb randy moss 90 ovr dropped a slant on 4th down which lost me the game

I appreciate the offer, I'm sure you could. However, you can't reproduce RNG in a lab without literally tens or hundreds of thousands of dice rolls. I won't have the time to review all of the permutations likely to be factors in this calculation, and factor in my own limitations on top of it. Even if there were improvements to be made to my pre-play calls or my stick skills, my argument isn't about those things.

This isn't a negative reinforcement belief. There are too many relevant data points where when it matters most, random, dumb, Sunday-ish things happen. The problem is, none of us play this game to have Sunday happen. We were hoping to play football in a way where we could have some control over the outcome. That control gets ripped away all to frequently in some of the most extraordinarily irritating ways. If it's going to be that way, might as well have more penalties, more fumbles, more bad spots, more weather.

Winning doesn't matter I can have a player wide open my QB perfectly in the pocket with no pressure throw at perfect timing everything user done the right way no mistakes on my end or user end and my QB throws either right to the defense or completely off target and I shake my head like how this is ridiculous while I know homie on the other side of the TV is laughing and laughing

The game has always been heavy in the RNG.  It's more evident this year.  Watching a WR with 88 speed, torch a CB with 93 speed by 5 or so yards couldn't happen unless it was programed to have a random chance to do it. 

Defenders dropping wide open picks,  receivers catching passes that go through a defenders body.  It is why competitive madden is kind of a joke.  But still love to play it.

Yeah that's why I gave up on caring about wins shit that's how I lost my only SB this year, but I'll still play H2H just mainly champs to get my comp pass done

let me get this straight - EA can't properly patch an A gap blitz, continually busts proper code when making fixes, can't properly code so DBs don't drop easy pic / play the ball correctly, can't code o line logic, basically mid ass programmers,

but you telling me they somehow have dynamic code that decides when it will make you lose to another person, and it adapts / changes based off the scenario ?

better chance that Santa comes down my chimney in a couple weeks and the tooth fairy sprinkles magic dust on my pillows...

sh*t is absolutely scripted in many cases, how you think you get so many 4th and inches, how do you think your receivers run just not deep enough to pick up the yards you need?  I watch it daily, I drop my team to 87 ovr and watch as god squads with every players can't even complete a pass against me, and when i'm at 90 vick becomes complete trash, at 87overall team he makes every throw. I'd record it and prove it to you but i'd probably get banned.... it's plain as day to see if someone records it and points it out to you.

i've played this game pretty much everyday since the original madden came out, it's definately some rng, strange forces in the game, no doubt about it, 100%

I played a guy that just started the game yesterday and while he lost, his mlb stuck with a 92 speed receiver step for step in man coverage all the way across the field.

I don't need your pity - I feel sorry for your ability to reason and critically think, my time spent playing shouldn't really impact this topic... and judging by your posts on here you should spend more time on that and less time on the game / this forum, 

start explaining in this thread how they could make that work - what kind of code would that take ? think about it... ? okay now explain how if they were advanced enough to do that why there are so many rudimentary coding problems that exist ? 

okay now critically think more, and maybe understand things better / post less before popping off about shit...

literally everybody called out Madden & FUT etc for DDA dynamic difficulty adjustment and equalizer etc......

I'm not even trying to be negative towards you at all, but? they have an EVEN TEAMS adjustment already in the game that we know about,  they have a MOMENTUM meter that was added as a response to explain away what the debate with DDA was. now it's just like "Ok we have it, it's a momentum meter", but before that they just denied it existed.

the time spent and skill level was a decent conclusion by you, it's the feel sorry for me part tho... idc that I'm not the greatest because my time input not being big enough yet, all good, I just don't understand how they could do something that complex but struggle with much more simple things... so you think they choose to suck at coding the simple stuff and have the capacity to make dynamic code that adjusts and makes you lose ? I'm not understanding the logic which is why I said the odds of it seem very low, didn't even say it wasn't possible tho...

if I had to guess, there is one set of people that create the entire base game, then you have like subcontracted coders to do updates etc? could be the same people I'm not sure, but I could easily see why one company would make the base game "very expensive high grade coders". and then "cheaper contracted coders" would do the updates, happens all the time.

and that's probably where the bugs come from, you see it in business literally on a daily basis.

have you ever been on the other forums/chats about it around the net? for example reddit where they speak on it and then the EA guy comes in and then when they pin him to the wall about it and pretty much have him exposed he says "that's as much as I can talk about, I can't say anymore"

if it's not a transparent situation? then what do you think that means? shouldn't that be obvious?

it's not even about the odds of if they could code it, they already have it. EVEN TEAMS and MOMENTUM METER, are "IT".

you don't have to ask if they can do it, it's already done and the proof is live IN GAME.

your logic really doesn't make sense to think they are incompetent at coding to begin with, lazy maybe but they definately can code, they created the game in the first place, you might think the game is buggy but you can't look past the fact that coding a game of that magnitude from scratch is no small task. it's like you want to label them as incompetent but they definately aren't from a gaming creation aspect.

it's also well documented that they own the patent for dynamic difficulty adjustment "DDA"

you could label it "SLIDERS" or "EQUALIZER" or whatever name people want to put on it, but you can see it plain as day that players/teams don't play correctly to stats, a 92 overall team should always play better than an 89 team and it just doesn't.
