Is pick artist a must? Or do I need to start clicking on?

I’ve had major issues this year with my AI corners dropping picks. It’s way worse than previous years and its costing me big time with how many picks my corners are dropping when the ball is being thrown right into their chest untouched by the receiver. This is mostly happening to 89 Gilmore which doesn’t make sense why he can’t make simple catches since he’s so high rated.

Is pick artist a must or should I click on every time? Sometimes it happens in quick routes so I don’t have much time to react which sucks but other times the drops are from a lot farther out and are very costly.

Also I’ve noticed this is WAY more common in mut champs which is All-Madden, right? When I play squads, my AI corners seem to catch picks perfectly fine on their own

I click for picks everytime regardless of who has pick artist. Along with coaching adjustments set to play the ball. I get way more picks than I should. Never trust the AI with your game. My players have intercepted maybe 5 passes on their own in complete fluke situations.
