This year in Madden 24 I really want to take a shot at working the AH and building up my coin stack that way. I remember in the past I’d see people mention that they would sell their top players mid-week and buy them back on Saturday for cheaper when people are ripping legend bundles.
Was that still a thing this past year? Is it a realistic way to build up your coin stack considering you get hit with the AH tax when you sell your players?
Players were much more expensive for M23 on Fridays and Saturdays. The cheapest days to buy were usually between Tuesday and Thursday.
I think it's because Friday/Saturday everyone ramped up their teams for comp pass.
I played from launch until December so this info is accurate for that timeframe. Not sure after that.

It's still a thing that's what my strategy is this get my coin stack high before Thursday buy 86 players sell back couple days later.

The best times to buy is when new cards come out and everyone is ripping packs chasing them. Doesn’t necessarily matter which day it is. After a few days, the “new” packs are being opened less, so the demand rises above the supply for those cards a bit.
Mut.gg has tools that will recognize these market patterns for us. M24 will be the most advanced madden game ever, in regards to information we have available to follow such trends.
Generally, I haven't seen people recommend selling your top players and buying them back a few days later as a coin making tip much if at all. You can make profit if you know the best time to buy and sell players. But depending on how often you plan to play games, it doesn't necessarily make sense to do so with players on your team.
I'd say anyone who understands the market well enough to profit from regularly buying and selling players on their team knows enough that they would profit far more from buying and selling cards not on their team.
It is worth learning the market to profit. But I wouldn't recommend using players on your team unless you desperately need coins.
The only real reliable coin making method was buying 78-79s or building sets for cheap and sell them after the comp pass refresh for high

It can be done...but...you then are on the bench until you reload...and...some players go up in price and you buy back and lose. I tried it a couple times and found it to cost way more time then the profit was worth. So instead...buy cards (any card) cheap on weekends and just flip them on Tuesday.
I feel like it depends a lot. I'd approach it with a lot more nuance and pay attention to what promos are coming up, when overalls are likely to jump, etc.
