Idk if it’s like this for anyone else but when I’m playin MUT I swear there is sometimes the game just doesn’t want me to win defensive wise. I have good corners with good abilities and there is times where they make insane plays but sometimes I feel like I’m some of the games they are just not doin a damn thing I can’t tell you how many times Ive had Deion not make a play on a person right next to him but then a day later he keeps makin this insane play jumping when he is no were near the receiver.
I’m in the same boat as you, i have good corners and safeties right next to receivers and just watch the ball fly over them, also for some reason, my recievers sometimes just stop mid route which makes it a super easy pick, they also drop it also when hit
I feel the same bro. Like sometimes the games AI intentionally doesn’t defend/pick/block/you fill in the blank. Then there’s matches where it’s the opposite and all of a sudden your players are reacting like 99’s “supposed to react” and the game feels right. It takes away from player skills and i feel like the AI is just random. Sometimes they’ll do their job, other times it’s like no one’s home
DDA doesn't want you to win, if you're good, which it sounds like you're very good.
Does it feel like your guys are also running in sand sometimes too? This happens a lot to me and it's noticeable. I know guessing pass will hurt pursuit angles though so that is understandable, but there are definitely times when the AI or something is just absolutely pulling for the other guy.
The game is designed to keep things competitive between players so, of course it does, in the same way that there's a difference between playing a solo challenge on Rookie and All-Madden. Think about it - forget if these players actually exist yet but if you have a CB with 99SPD and 99MCV how would they go up against a WR with 99SPD and 99RR? Who wins with a DT with 99BSH and a C with 99PBK & RBK?
It's a dice roll man.

I understand that I’m just sayin I feel like there is some games where I never seem to win that dice roll and other games where I seem to just keep winning it. Its just irritating when I lose to someone who definitely isn’t as good as me because my corners just decided to stop playing defense for the day and get burnt on every play or just stand there and not even try to make a play

I get it. Games against some players are often tighter than they should be. Sometimes it's players clearly not playing to their numbers but last night I had 3 fumbles, 2 in goal-to-go situations and 1 where he kicked a FG to go up 20 -17 with about a minute left. I drove down the field to get a TD and leave him about 6 seconds but had a catch on about the 5-yard line that was miles out of bounds. It was 'exciting' I guess but also obviously fixed.
Keep an eye on the second-half kick-off for a few days. Notice how often the player winning and receiving the ball goes 3 and out on their first possession. Happens an awful lot. It's the game trying to keep players engaged and is called DDA. Lots of people swear it doesn't exist but it was in some EA paperwork that got leaked a few years ago and definitely does.
I used to find it annoying but now I just laugh. Sometimes it makes it more of a challenge when you know you have to beat the player AND the game. Other times I just realise it's a stacked deck and quit out to the next game. I hate it when it's in my favor and that happens a lot too, particularly when up against stacked teams. I'd much rather players just played to the numbers on their cards but they don't.
