Nope. The greed has been real for 10 years. Ea even designed and patented an algorithm code whatever tf you wanna call it to solely make ea money.

Just like any hobby, I would say it’s pretty normal to spend a couple dollars every now and then
While I do agree that it's common with most games that plays invest in DLC.
But it's usually a few times a year.
EA is not just weekly new packs. It's almost daily. It's gotten ridiculous.
If it weren't for the YouTubers pushing daily info, I doubt EA could keep this up.

True
Just yesterday a 100 dollar 99 OVR bundle got released, now this pack today, and I assume another Cover Athletes bundle tomorrow, and a Christmas bundle on Monday

The worst part about this year is the ratio from money to coin packs. I used to love the Get A Gold packs, could sit there for hours ripping them in the store for coins and break even and be happy when I got a good pull. Now all the coin packs are strictly poopy. And the only real chance you have at good cards is the money offers. Which is smart by EA to capitalize on it but makes it not so enjoyable for casual players that can’t justify ripping bundles every week.

The simple fact that several YouTubers have been able to quit their full time jobs because of how much money they make from all the people watching their pack openings. That all speaks volumes.
Sure we get plenty of "EA failed again" videos.
But we get even more. "Best pack opening ever" videos. It's getting pretty sickening.

I'm almost as fed up with the YouTubers as I am with EA.
Here's another annoyance. All the "silent + sign" packs.
I swear I've maybe got 1 or 2 better then the plus sign all year.
That includes free packs and paid for. It's pathetic

Most of the times I pay imagining the + is silent. That way, you don‘t pay for any packs praying for the +.
For example, who in the world is pay 37,500 coins for a Max fantasy pack for 3 out of 5 70+ players…

Who's paying for Max fantasy Packs at all??
Pure hot garbage!!

Yea i gave up.
The micro-transaction model is not new, and certainly not exclusive to EA. Micro-transactions have invaded EVERY single video game out there, and since those titles that utilize them are always the largest money-makers for every single company, they aren't going away......EVER. The individual decision to spend money, or not to spend money on the game is just that......individual. I don't condemn anyone that chooses to spend money, nor do I condemn those that choose to remain NMS. The problem is that people that are entirely NMS feel like they should have the same cards as those that spend real money. That is NOT realistic. I am NMS, and totally understand that I will not have any of the LTD's on my team, unless they fall in price to "rental level". Honestly, this year I have found it far easier to compete with the money-spender teams than in previous years. A lot of that is because Defense sucks in this year's game so far, and "shitters" like myself can still move the ball with relative ease.

I also do not condemn those who spend.
But I think you are missing the point just a little bit.
I think more and more players are becoming NMS. And because of it, EA is becoming more desperate to try getting people to start spend again.
Strategy 1. Make the Must have cards LTD.
Strategy 2. Make cards that can only be bought (cover athletes).
Strategy 3. Put out random bundles that are very tempting, if/when strategies 1 and 2 are not working like they had hoped.
They simply do whatever the marketing strategists suggest. All while putting out content barely any better then what's already out. But good enough that people will hopefully convince themselves it's worth getting.

Careful; you might get attacked if you spend a few dollars
FloorGeneral said:I believe it might be an experiment. PPL have been theorizing that they may get rid of the Auction House at some point in the (near) future. I don't know about that, but I think they're seeing how successful limiting certain cards to (points) packs can be. They got some backlash (enough to release Mixup coin packs, but, not Cover Athletes). Though they are ending those promos, I think that both are premature. We'll see what they do with the rest of the year, but next year's Madden gonna be real interesting.
Next years madden is going to be interesting. They should be trying to improve gameplay. They could go crazy on gameplay and call it developers mode and strictly be for improvement and feedback over rewards, near the ending or whole time of the years game.
maybe reward for next year by putting so many hours into it

It is simple; if you don't want to spend money, don't. If you do, then by all means do. If you don't, then you won't have the "latest, greatest" cards, and that is okay as well. Only YOU can make a card "must-have". There are no "must-have" cards for me, LTD or otherwise. I have the best team that I can have without spending real money. I play the game in the manner that I want. Cards that can only be bought........won't be on my Team, and that is okay as well. Random bundles are not tempting for me. If they are for you, then buy or don't, let your wallet be your guide.
