Just bought Madden... where do I start?

I have 4600 points. I have played since madden 18 but this year decided to wait for the $100 to go on sale, and it did. What do I start with? And what things does EA give to start? Like team capts and stuff? I have ZERO knowledge about M24. And are there ways to make coins this year? And what should I do with the 4600 points?

For the 4600 points, there should be a bundle in the store that gives you a truckload of 82+ players and 4 88s, that should be a good start. I'd save the rest of the points for when another good bundle comes out.

The most feared pass ends today, so there isn't much you can do about that, but you can still get progress on the season 2 and unstoppable passes.

Just starting out, solo challenges are really the only thing worth doing until you get a decent team. 

Team captains are their own field pass this year, they aren't hard to get, the just take a little grinding.

Also, little tip for the captains, try to max out Eric berry as soon as you can, then go channing crowder, you get an 87 MLB and an 89 FS for free, and since mlbs aren't that important, you're saving coins in the long run.

if you have loads of time today and tomorrow, grind out every single thing in the most feared field pass. as it expires tomorrow. 

if you can finish it all some how you’ll get a lot of free 87’s and a 90. 

this should be all you do, can use solo battles to grind H2H obj

then you should grind all hispanic heritage solos and objectives for 5x 86’s and then work on legend solos to get a free 90 legend

I started 3 week ago and am 86 ovr, with 1.5 mil and about 2 mil invested right now. You have to play a lot if your gonna wan to catch up at least to complete with the average player. I spent a lot of time doing all the challenge’s and played a lot of solo battles( go for xp and try and level up as much as you can)  

I honestly have been able to play a lot because  I had to medical redshirt this year, but I am a nms player and am wining prolly half my online games . I sold every card that wasn’t bnd and saved coins until I hit a million. then i started learning and looking into the bigger stuff.

if old gen you can start by tossing it in the trash

I know there's a chance some of these tips might not apply to you, but this post I made the other day should sum everything up decently

Unstoppable solos give you derrick henry. U just need to use coins to make 90ovr unstoppable set (probably go dk or pitts they are 2 of the best at their position.)

Definently try and do the legend solos they are realtively quick you get a bunch of tokens and can get a free 90. 

Then i would look at your field pass stuff. Try to get all the xp in those and get your packs at the end of the field pass by doing those objectives. (Great way to complete h2h task with a bad team is go to solo battles put them on rookie as there is no reward for getting points. Let them score so u can get more stats or intercept them whatever u need.) 

I think most feared promo has 2 weeks left on it. At the end if the pass you get a 90. Im not sure you can still get to that but there is alot of xp rewards thruout.

Gameplay tip: when you get a quarterback know that your oline is garbage and are going to get shedded quickly. There is an ability i cant recall the name right now but you can put it on them and it will make them block alot better than they are going to. Will help with solos and h2h games as well. Not necessary after you upgrade your oline a bit. Also the ability gunslinger is very nice if you get that but quickdraw can be just as helpful sometimes if your qb doesnt get gunslinger. 

Get some players that are pretty cheap and save most of your coins til you can buy some of the big dogs. While u are trying to build ur whole team i suggest staying under 20k on purchases unless skill position. Im still using 83s at oline they do a great job most of the time.

DON'T be too quick to spend those Points, as others are pointing out.  We're ~2 days away from the max OVR rating being bumped up to 91.  With the All Madden promo dropping Thursday, this is almost certainly going to happen.  Please don't take anything i say as fact, but the speculation appears solid and plausible enough.  Expect markets to tank at that point, which might be a fantastic time to acquire some budget beasts.  Speed (SPD) stat is basically the ONLY thing that matters when you are starting out.

If you're eager to hop on and immediately playing H2H, the starter packs at 2800 Points probably make sense, but if yer intending to grind mostly Solo Battles and random offline modes, perhaps it's wise to save everything.  Plus, the game is WAY more fun IMO when yer getting tons of significant upgrades to help the grind.  Play on Rookie mode to farm stats, unless you really just want the practice, so almost any team will do when grinding Arcade to farm stats.

Any QB with Gunslinger will be just fine.  You'll eventually acquire Justin Fields from S2 Field Pass.  BE SURE to run Gift-Wrapped ability on your QB, otherwise yer receivers are going to drop TONS of easy catches.  As always, coins are king.  Good luck, have fun.  And welcome!

I'd save the points for Zero Chill in December.  Presents will give you the most value.  Until then, i'd work on building your MUT team wtih as much free content as you can while getting used to the game, abilities, h2h play, etc.  

Also, I would refrain from buying any packs with coin or $ because the odds are so  bad.  Just save your coin and $ and buy the players you want on the auction house.

Speaking of the auction house, try to sell as much free content as you can and go with BND players (account bound players that you cannot sell for coin) .  This will build your coin stack to set  you up when higher OVRs come out, then budget options will become available that will improve your team..
