This is kinda odd, but hear me out. I did 4 games today after I haven't played in little while. Once I got to about the 3rd game, I started feeling like I was experiencing deja vu. My 3rd opponent had a different tag, but he happened to be running the same two defenses (6-1, Dollar) and the same formations on offense (tight, bunch) as the other two before him. It was crazy because he even did the exact same plays and had pretty much the same players (peppers and Calvin at corners, Carmichael at linebacker, etc). But I figured it was just a coincidence UNTIL my 4th opponent! Again, different gamertag, but the exact same plays and players again! If I didnt know any better Id think its the same guy over and over, but obviously thats nonsense. Has anyone ever seen this? There has to be an explanation, right?
This is common unfortunately. Some people run the same plays/formations they find online or see in MCS. There are ‘meta’ formations/plays that are hard to stop on defense.
similar lineup is coincidence, but Carmichael is still a great sub lb and peppers is cheap.
Bro, one time I was playing duos with a random and he was telling me a completely different game than what I was playing. He sent me a screenshot and there was a different score on our games. We were on a team but playing two totally separate matches it wouldn't surprise me, a lot of teams I played I felt were bots because of the same reasoning
the best thing to do to stop it is poke around on these forums and usually u can find or ask for a stop to a play or wtv and then ur pretty much good
my solution has just been to run a full ko setup, so they cant just be good at calling the same plays they have to freeform too
I haven’t but I rarely play even Squads on H2H. When I did play H2H a few years ago a lot last, it was the same thing. Everyone used the meta formations and plays and it was easy to beat when you figured it out, but just isn’t fun. It’s sad that it seems it’s the same still, but until EA puts a play cool down, this part of the game won’t get any better for me.

The fix for this is to remove Film Study as an ability and just make defenders, even low-Play Recognition ones, react faster to play calls that are being repeated.

How much AP is it? And I’d only use it even if I do feel up to playing H2H. But thanks.
Get used to it. Meta this year is bunch and RPO’s on offense, with dollar a gap blitz and 6-1 on defense. If you play enough H2H, 90% of your opponents with be running those formations. Promo theme teams are also the Meta this year, so get ready to play mainly Ghosts of MUT Future / Playoffs / Super Bowl TT’s.

It’s 3 AP. Legends Zach Thomas is the least-expensive defender with that ability.
Lol this is everyday
welcome to the fun 💀
