Just got kicked from the EA servers during a Solo Battle game, but had a chance to replay the game on reconnection instead of getting a DNF.

Obviously a dc on their end isn't the greatest, but if this is going to be standard practice in terms of a solution, I welcome it.

Has this happened to anyone else with the same result?

Yeah that happened to me too actually, and was pleasantly surprised. The disconnect was on my side because of a damned "Lan Cable Disconnected" i keep getting on my ps5, and was shocked to not see a DNF for the game. Props to EA for making that change.
