Just got the game what to do first ?

Man theres a lot to do here but where to start ? Got the 2 starter teams which is a great option 
I did a solo battle game earlier scored 72 points all passing TDs  but the comp. didn’t register the stats .  Did some sets and didn’t get the comp. points for that as well. Is something wrong? What should I play if some modes are not working properly?  Thanks

Sometimes it takes a few moments for the field passes to register and then again there's a big problem right now of objectives not tracking. I would do the solos and get that free 86 Moss CB. There's also team builder objectives where you can get a free 84 team builder. You could try to get to 20 house rules wins to get the free 86 headliners player but I'm not sure when house rules is going to reset cause it should be soon maybe Thursday. You can make good progress towards the season and headliners field pass though and even the competitive field pass. Remember you get more CP by winning some solo battle games on legend or MVP difficulty. Make sure you do your daily objectives cause you get a free strategy card and daily coin pack every day and the more dailys you do the more XP you get for instance doing 15 dailys can get you 30,000 XP I believe. You can play some mut champions and get some good CP towards the competitive pass. There's also all madden objectives to get two free 82 players. Id look at all the passes and their objectives to see which ones you can knock out quickly and remember the competitive pass resets in 2 weeks so you want to make sure you at least get the free 88 player. Also your team captain challenges and browsing the auction house trying to get snipes.

Dont forget the team captains if u choose to not go for the free 84… u cant really go wrong with either… i see some people take the fb for the solo Grind then exchanging it for something else when they get miles sanders

and as for headliners get Derrick brown… then when u build a 350k coin stack do the holland set… pick the 5(make sure they are all diff) 86’s ur team needs the most then do the set… u get the 86’s back as bnd’s… u will probably loose around 60k but 60/5 is 12… so u got ur 5 86’s for 12k each

Play the legend solos… u get 4 81’s good for starter players… then u can sell them for 7k each… u also get all of their power ups which sell for 2.5k each

then when upgrading ur team but platinum core elites(the ones that quicksell for coins)… they seem more expensive… but think of it as a rental… a 83 platinum quicksells for 30k… if u buy a 83 platinum for 35k when ur done with the card u can quicksell it and only lose 5k… if u buy reg core elites u can buy a 83 for 20k but after a few weeks it will drop in price waaaay more than 5k compared to the 5k at worse that u lose if u but platinum cards

Terrible choice with the starter teams but too late to change that. 
 

currently the game is bugged to shit, and was down earlier today. Hopefully it gives you progress. The best way to advance is to keep looking through the passes and doing those objectives.

Thanks everyone that gave me some pointers in the right direction I like the headliner set that was pointed out to do they give you back the five cards which I did but for some reason nothing else is really tracking and the solo battles it doesn’t really matter what score I get maybe my solo battles is glitched and I should take advantage of it I don’t know. But thanks.

Solo battles points system is from last Madden iterations, it does not matter anymore as EA changed the approach after the beta of M23 but did not change the GUI in-game.
