Ya gotta click on and manually come back to the ball, away from the guy with KO abilities.
I agree they are out of hand at times (sometimes you catch, take what seems like 3 steps, and THEN it gets knocked out) but I still prefer this to the agg catch pandemic from earlier this year. That was awful.

Imo KO's are the only way to keep the offensive meta in check. Everyone and their dog is running saints book, and it hasn't been like this in any prior years that I can remember. There used to be variety in peoples schemes, now people just spam the same 2 plays over and over and wait for there deep corner route to get the right bump and be open, or the TE seam. You should win games going 5/15 and 3 TDs imo.
I think the problem stems all the way to the high pass, everyone is "high forming" these deep corners which always get a step, and the high form is almost an auto completion and an overthrow at worst without a KO. Imagine facing PA shot seams, slot cross or drive corner without zone KOs and get back to me. High balling has become to madden 23 what low balling was to 22, and it needs a nerf for next years game. otherwise the new passing mechanics are great.
I also think zone coverage as a whole the past couple years is extremely lacking. Your guys play with little awareness and play their spot too much, as opposed to actually reacting to the routes on the field. I play mostly match for this reason. The game has become more offensively dominate because man was nerfed, which it should be, but zones should have been buffed as well. They make my deep zones not get ran by constantly by deep corners and then we have a case for worse or no KO's.

Ya meta abilities should never be free, double or nothing, Edge threat, inside stuff should never be less than 1. If KOs start being free it’s gonna be wild, but at this point you can run nickel with cbs at safety and have 5 deep and mid KOs on all of them with 2 ap to spare, plus most of them get free pick artist. Tell me how this is fun

Zone coverage is definitely barely an option and even if you do run it you need tons of adjustments

i don’t use a single KO…I run either 4 Quarters or a Man 1 w spy, and drop one of my DEs. Can usually predict the WR getting the ball based on routes/crossing. I use 4 97+ CBs w just the free abilities (Bradberry, Verret, Ward, Porter Jr)
