No matter what I do... hardwiring the PC, upgrading Internet plan, blah blah, it never fails..playoff runs stifled by lag and slow speeds that are difficult to respond to.. I'm tired of it and wondering why i play this game when the key moments are simply dependent on the internet speeds I'm given by EA servers. If this continues I'm done honestly. I've done more than everything I can do, and it's still not enough to make sure this game runs smoothly.
Oh look, the instant I post this it's followed by copy pasta of the same post several times. Except the location differs each time but otherwise it's the same post. How thematically fitting is that. Screw this crap.

whats your pc specs? cause rn the game is taxing the cpu really hard, so if you have a old cpu youre probably overheating or it just isnt powerful enough, ea lied about a ryzen 5 2600 being good enough for minimum, when i upgrade my pc from a ryzen 5 2600 and a 1660 ti to a ryzen 5 5600 and a 4060 that all stopped. i do have 32 gbs of ram also

LOL. I have a 10900K I spent $350 on..try that one again.

im not coming at you, im asking to see if i can help you trouble shoot. Like i said madden for some reason is running off our cpu instead of our gpu you can check msi afterburner graphs and see it in real time. so being you have a 10900k check its temp, ks normally run hot naturally. if you eliminated that, make sure you have vsync off and the fps capped to 60 fps in game. if you also have that checked off, the last thing i would do is check my ram, im running 32 gbs of ddr4 in xmp mode. if none of that works the last thing i would do is verify the game files in steam or ea where ever you downloaded it. if none of that works idk what to tell you

i also just did a quick search on your cpu, double check and make sure madden isnt trying to use intels uhd graphics to turn the game, your cpu has intergrated graphics

I apologize for my previous reply. I had too much to drink that night and it was a bit uncalled for, though not really intentionally rude as I recall thinking more like joking around about how I whaled on my PC, but nonetheless I figured I owe you an explanation and hope that helps.
Anyway I tried just about everything you mentioned, which were good suggestions. However I have been noticing increasing temperature spikes during games and even outside of them sometimes and it started getting to the point it scared the hell out of me. I messed around with more stuff and it started getting hot just from opening a web browser. So naturally I deduced from all of this checking the thermal paste, getting all the way in there and..yeah, it dried and crusted up a bit. So I fixed it and it runs quite well so far. I'm guessing this was a vicious cycle that got started from playing madden while watching football games on the other monitor or something since I'm not really a fan of OCing, though I have done it. I've also been doing some work in there so maybe the heatsink got jostled a bit. But I appreciate your response.
People are using lag switches causing lag. Unfortunately it’s not just your internet connection that can cause lag but the person you’re playing as well. Lag switches is only thing that explains why no lag whatsoever then I have a key fg or down and here comes the lag or if they have been lagging whole game here comes turbo speed from Game catching up.

This unfortunately is something I have suspected because I've noticed it will occur at exactly key moments in the game, such as about to make a catch right after a throw or a FG/PAT. Rather convenient for sure.

Yes and I forgot to add that I report them after the game so ea can look at them pretty sure lag switches is against terms of service
