Lost My Best Chance At A Super Bowl today

Back and forth game but ultimately I came up short. Lost on the final play of the game that was a 70 plus yard touchdown, I play zone match from cover 4 palms and somehow opponent's wr gets butt naked open on a streak no one within 20 yards of him. I might have blown the coverage and in hindsight probably should have played man because my opponent had been settling for the underneath stuff against man all game long. Just need to vent because this is my first super bowl where I felt my opponent and I were evenly matched and I still haven't won my first super bowl this year.

I blew one the other day too, but nbd... getting close so I'll have many won soon enough

game tied and I had the ball on his 15 with 70 seconds left, 3rd and 10 he has 1 timeout left, I decided to pass since if I get the first down that's game (kick FG to win with no time), accidentally threw a lob and hit wrong button and he picked it off and took it to the house

then I returned the kick for a TD and an XP would have tied / probably went to OT but I went for 2 and he stopped me so lost by 1...

if running match: this could be what happened - Palms is busted if he ran a corner with the slot WR and a streak with the outside WR, the DBs go to switch, outside corner switches onto slot and safety/CB tries to switch to outside WR (on streak) but just gets cooked and the outside WR on streak is left wide open

been in the lab a lot not sure if that's what happened but palms can get cooked because they try to switch and it's busted on certain route combos...

it's something to avoid calling when you are trying to be safe end of game

Good to know. Lesson learned there.

I'm pretty sure the slot was running the streak. I think the outside receive ran a dig or a hitch. It could have been a corner. Admittedly, I wasn't really paying attention to that once I saw how wide open the slot was. I just expected someone to be at least near wr. I've never been cooked that badly before in cover 4 palms so I thought it was safer than it was.

Sad thing for me is my opponent wasn't even using one of the meta formations. They just outplayed me.

Man that's an insane sequence of events to end the game. I respect the call to go for 2. I usually do that myself if it's to avoid OT.

I just won another guy's Superbowl (for me it was a wildcard game)

it was so ugly, that I feel sorry for my opponent

the game was lagging so bad, that I had to press a button multiple times before it responded

I don't know if it was so sluggish for my opponent too, but probably so, because he couldn't do anything on offense except for throwing screen passes. I intercepted one of those and he quit immediately

upd: and now I tasted my own medicine, lol. my own SB was so slow that I couldn't pick the right play half the time, I burned all my timeouts just to set the audibles. ah, screw it

I've never made it through a playoff run without a desync, idk if it's my internet or servers just extra bad this year. Never had an issue with prior maddens
