Madden 24 onside kicks

If theres one small thing I’d like to see in mut 24, it’s the inability to do an onside kick unless it’s in the 4th (and maybe 2nd) quarter. Too many times I load into a h2h game and the guy starts off with an onside kick 🙄

No.  You can do an onside kick in a real game any time that you want.  Why wouldn't the game echo that same logic.?

This. If you're concerned about onside kicks just wait until your opponent selects their play on kickoffs you'll see if they're doing an onside kick or not.

true, I just find it frustrating when they spam onside kicks and they keep working

Like just not select a play and it’ll pick the correct recovery for me?

If I could pick one thing to change in Madden 24 it would be to eliminate matching up with those who don't pay attention to anything and just basically treat this game as techmo bowl

you do realize that they are gonna recover the onside kick not that often lol. unless they have it down to perfection

Kinda, when the game considers you to be on defense if you wait for your opponent to pick a play, you will get a pop up on the right side of the screen that says defense pick a play and a 10 second count down. This pop up will tell you what formation the offense is coming out in. You are considered to be on defense when you're receiving a kickoff and as such if you wait for your opponent to select the formation will give away if it's an onside kick or regular kickoff. If it's an onside kick this pop up will say onside kick.
