If I start MUT on ps4 then switch to ps5 , Does MUT team transfer?
No it doesn't.

Only if you continue to play the PS4 version of the game, which can definitely be installed on a PS5 -- however, the games have been completely detached (old versus new generation of consoles), so we can no longer flip-flop back and forth between them. Some folks legit prefer the older PS4 style gameplay, although i have to assume this will be the final year that Madden is supported on the last generation of consoles.

FIFA 14/ PES 2014 still on PS2 I think Madden last gen will continue until Madden 27

There should still be significant life left in my beloved PS4 Pro, broke my heart to unplug / replace that when M25 dropped and we were no longer able to tinker with our MUT squads, but I guess my logic was that CFB isn't supported on last-gen, but you're almost certainly correct.
I highly doubt EA will invest significant resources into properly upgrading the gameplay for "next" (current) generation of console.

I just installed M25 on my PS5. You shouldn't have any issues, but please keep me posted. Basically just need to choose which version of the game you want to install.
I had to remove M25 beta, so it wasn't consuming storage space, but then choose between; PS5, beta or PS4 version of the game client.
See you tomorrow at 4pm.

I keep hearing M25 is the last year for the old gen version... but I think it all depends on whether they're still making money on it or not. There's still a large installed base of the PS4s and XB1s out there... (I think more than current gens still). Plus there's fools like me that will continue to spend money on the "worse" version of the game.
I doubt it takes much effort by EA to put out the old gen version of the game with updated rosters, menus, programs... etc. And clearly they don't provide support for the old gen version (not like they're providing a ton of support for current gen either).
Maybe I won't have to retire after M25 ?

Yeah, i don't think anyone has any concrete information about the overall state of the game. I suspect we should begin hearing some type of chatter surrounding the final year of the NFL licensing rights. I could have this totally wrong, but i believe I read somewhere that the final year of the contract is an opt-in or something. A way for EA to wiggle out if they ever were to find themselves in a similar FIFA-type (or NCAA) scenario.
I doubt even EA's executives are dumb enough to think they can drop an "American Football" generic game, but i'm obviously not an attorney and have no real knowledge or understanding of how these contract talks go. Assuming the final year of the current/existing contract expires in May 2026, they must be negotiating things in the coming months, right?
We're both equally foolish for spending money on this bad game -- i'm not sure the differences between PS4 and PS5 versions of the game make my spending habits any more wise than your own. MUT just happens to be one of my many vices and I'm capable of all sorts of horrendous junkie justification when it comes to making excuses for the obscene amount of money i've thrown at the game.
Only difference between us is that i'm genuinely hoping to grow a pair of balls and retire from the madness. Although I was still able to find significant amounts of fun and entertainment, even in July MUT, but the frustrations typically outweigh any ability to turns the EA lemons into lemonade. It's a fine line, because a casual player won't really be able to understand the state of the game, at least not fully, but once I began obsessing over Madden (or specifically MUT), i was no longer able to see anything beyond the many, many warts and overall buggy ass mess. It'd be a different story if EA were trying really hard and simply lacked time or ability to execute on their vision. Sadly, this is EXACTLY their vision. Force scarcity, ensure we're all stuck in a never-ending grind on the MUT hamster wheel, while dropping the same, tired, recycled content over and over and over and simultaneously ignoring the years of community feedback and refusing to fix even the most basic or most glaring issues.
Ahh well, i hope you get to choose when you retire and aren't forced into that. Playbooks with all the cheat-motions and stuff should be new and different this year, which may ultimately come back to haunt you. To be determined. I guess we'll find out in almost exactly 24 hours (assuming servers are live).

Playbooks are the one thing I don't want changed and why I'm hoping they're exactly the same as they have been the past two years on the old gen version. If I have to learn new playbooks (offense and defense)... I might as well start from scratch on the current gen version. I'd have to forget all my old muscle memory... and get comfortable with the different menu / adjustment layout... might as well stumble around in new playbooks for a month too!
My son (who never got deep into Madden) was watching me play just today... and he asked if my hands hurt after all the buttons I have to mash to do all my formation subs, custom audibles, and pre-play adjustments. The fact is that they actually do hurt after a long day playing H2H and it just came to me... There are two "quality of life" improvements that EA could add that would get me to switch to the current gen version: A) allowing us to make all of our formation substitutions and B) custom audibles from the lineup screen (instead of having to mindlessly do this EVERY frickin game). THAT would make me join you all on the dark side.

Be careful what you wish for. I'm not sure on the custom subs/formations, but I believe I read in patch notes somewhere that there was at least some changes surrounding this. To be determined if it's sufficient. Would be a HUGE quality of life improvement.
Custom audibles may also be coming. I think you'd relearn fairly quickly. As you do aptly stated, it's just muscle memory. Need to get in the repetitions, that's all.
Crazy that year after year there are so few changes there's very little reason for people in your position, with a decade+ experience to swap for mediocre improvements. Kind of a true indictment of how pathetic EA has been with their monopoly.
I'm kind of pumped to try out all the new ball carrier moves, do you guys get any of that? Hesitation step and being able to chain moves together, such as juke into spin move, stutter step, etc.

LOL... we get what was in the game for M23. M24 is really just a reskin. Everything else is the same... same playbooks... same abilities... same FG block glitch.
Oh wait... I forgot... we did actually get that exciting new feature called the "catalog".

Oof, I cannot believe they invested basically an entire year of dev resources for that nonsensical Catalogue. Holy hell. Requires everyone to make extra button taps to get to the auction house.
Fingers crossed for a few of those much needed quality of life improvements. I'm not fully convinced these new ball carrier moves will come anywhere close to the massively overpowered juke from M24, I suspect I'll want to use Derrick Henry to start the year, hopefully rumbling over boyz.
Good luck. You don't know the power of the dark side. 😎
