Madden is basically on death's doorstep

The game is unplayable on old gen right now because of the menus running at a glacial pace. One of the all-time biggest EA fuck ups I can recall. 

Further, if you see the low numbers on Madden Twitch streamers, you'll see that Madden interest is seriously waning because the game advances too little year to year and has become worn to longtime players.

As for rewards, I feel the rewards have been better than ever, I'm starting a good number of free reward cards on my 87 overall team and I have spent less $ than ever before. SUBSTANTIALLY less.

Unless the games sells 1/10th of what it normally does and no longer generates income on micro transactions (or massively reduced income), nothing will change. 

The only chance at big changes would be if 2k or someone could make a competing game. Which likely won't happen.   Unless the amount the NFL and NFLPA want for the renewal gets absurd.  

If EA starts losing money on Madden, it would force some changes, but that seems very unlikely to ever happen.

So, I'm a pretty certifiably lazy person, and I can assure you, if I had a money printer, I would sit on my ass all day too. It's pretty simple; it's all about the money right? Fixing gameplay issues and bugs isn't what makes them money; it's selling pixels through lootboxing mechanics. And people keep buying it up while complaining that nothing changes. I'm NMS and enjoy the game enough (for now) so I accept how things are, but on principle, I refuse to wallet out for this crap any more than the $70 I paid for the game.

It’s a monopoly.  It will never die until there is real competition.

I just wish all these rewards as in players weren't bnd and really I don't care about that just make them all quicksellable it's been 2 months and I'm already tired of seeing the 20+ players in my binder that I don't use and never will
