Open letter to EA, distributed National and Global sales offices. Emailed and sent by real name etc.
First of all, I have played Madden since 1990s. I really started active madden gaming again 2016. I specially have enjoyed online HH games and MUT.
There have been “better” and “not so good” years with madden experience. Nowadays, I don’t usually understand doomscrolling and 24/7 whining about almost everything. Every September, game has been almost awful but I have been among them, who have just grinded and played the game, just hoped it games together somewhere November when player ratings get better.
Current development started 2020 and has gone worse and worse. Instead of describing some of the well known problems; I put them to questions format. I am quite sure, that I will never get answers, but I dare you all to question them as well, be free to use them anywhere you like. Questions are very simple and can be also gathered from EA stats easily:
- How much base defense is played nowadays in madden online gaming?
- How much zone defense is played vs man defense in online gaming?
- What is blitz rate in plays in online gaming?
- What is average yards per completed pass in online gaming?
- What is average yards per run, when running 21 or 22 offense against nickel/dime etc. vs. running against base defense?
- What is % that sublb’s are non linebackers?
From my experience, all these have been going worse and worse. Madden isn’t any football simulation, it’s 1990- NBA Jam in nice football cover; where personnel, formations and choices don’t mean nothing- you just spam corners and cover beaters on offense and in defense play 1-3 different plays 24/7.
I am not a grinder. I have executive level job and family, and believe or not, some other hobbies as well. I still like to play competive, but to compensate lost time I have spended some money in packs etc. Maybe, more than I have thought :)
I have coins more than 3 million and pretty good team. Game is bad and have been getting worse all the time. I terminated my EA play subscription yesterday and looking forward to do something else than madden. Maybe MDZ. And I would like to play football competive, I will not return to EA experience unless I hear some changes from USERS not sales promotion dudes. I think next year they sell us “totally new gaming experience” with same arcade gaming shit than before.
Lastly but not leastly, during my Madden experience, I really want to thank MUT community for good discussion and good guidance during those times where I actually could build different kind of teams to be competitive. And as non native, I believe I have gotten at least decent understanding for some typos…
