I was in a regular season game not playoffs. I was in my opponents territory and I let the clock run down to 3 seconds so I could kick a field goal. I make it, and he gets the ball BACK! And then he scores a td so he wins. I know the NFL changed it to be like this for the playoffs but I wasn't in the playoffs.
OT rules are like that in the regular season in the NFL now too are they not?
First person to touch the ball wins on a TD but a FG lets the other team try.
This isn't a madden issue, this is a you not knowing the rules issue.
Edit:
Actually the postseason rules now
"Overtime rules in the postseason consist of as many 15-minute periods as are necessary until there is a winner, instead of the single 10-minute overtime period in the regular season. Both teams will now get at least one possession, even if the team that has the first possession scores a touchdown. If the team that got the ball first doesn't score a touchdown, or if the score is tied after each team has possessed the ball, the next score would end the game. "

Just happened Sunday evening in the Bills vs Eagles game. Bills kicked a fg and hurts ran in a TD to end it in OT.

Nope. Regardless of time, other team still get the ball. They usually add more time on the clock.
