I’m having more fun the more they nerf “meta defenses“. With no insta pressure cheese we’re stuck playing chess on defense and I know more about defensive adjustments than the casual gamer lol.
this game on all pro is a very miserable experience tho. i’m waiting for the ranked season to reset so i can go back to playing all madden games

It's a waste of time watching those guys, trust me.

And every single play you do is getting ate up by 85 OVR's.. You make every adjustment imaginable and you're a football enthusiast. On the other end is Little Matty drinking his apple juice and picking plays he don't even comprehend yet they're working without any degree of difficulty because Madden souped the kids team up because they want him to be competitive. Because if he isn't, they know he'll quit and they won't get any of his money. That is the reality.
Thissssss

This is where you betray that the "this much" you think you know about football is barely scratching the surface. You can read undisguised alignments. Good for you. The problem most of us have with this game is that so much of what comes after the snap ceases to represent football. At best, Madden contains elements of football, just as rugby contains elements of football. But Madden ≈/≈ Football, much less = Football.
I also don't conflate Madden as a football game with MUT as a business model. MUT inherently rewards cheesers, cheaters, and glitchers with better cards so that their cheesing becomes more effective. I'm seeing my 90 OVR NMS team once again succumbing repeatedly to RPO's and stretch runs when I know they're coming. My defenders get sucked into blocks (as has been the case with Madden blocking animations since forever), and 94 SPD runningbacks are running free to the edge, or ordinary receivers are running to daylight unaccounted for by a defense that was instructed specifically to stop them.
You have to not play MUT like football to like this game as a football game. If there is ever a competitive head-to-head football simulation game, you'll discover how little you actually understand about the game.
Funny, I don’t have problems with stretches or RPO’s. Very naive of you to assume what I do and don’t know about football or Madden based on a single anonymous post on a forum. Have a good one.
colonelangus08 said:You are absolutely right. I made it all up to dunk on teenagers on a madden forum. I have nothing else going on in my life. I‘m unemployed and live in my mom‘s basement. This year I’ll be 45 and I’ve still never even had a girlfriend or kissed a girl. It would all be worth it if I could find some teenagers and dunk on them. I was so desperate to dunk on those teenagers that I made up this crazy story that there was a guy who paid a lot of money for his Madden team but wasn’t very good at the video game. I should’ve known no one would believe it. Everyone who spends a ton of money on Madden is super good. Stupid. I just want to say I’m sorry for lying to everyone and to let them know that Joshuatr101510 was the supersleuth who uncovered my poorly thought out, series of lies. Thank you.
So , are you aware Madden is a Football video game ?? You can’t dunk on anyone and it’s even a penalty to dunk on the goalpost after a touchdown ?
Also I’m sure you’ll find someone who loves you . It’s not like you’re missing out most women are completely insane now days and I’m sure you mom enjoys having you around she probably feels safer !

This is the best argument for DDA out there. Lower difficulty narrows skill gap. It’s nearly unplayable. I guess I don’t factor it in because I assume anyone who is remotely competitive at the game has given up on all pro a long time ago for that reason.

Look, I know you're probably very successful at Madden. That's conveyed well enough in your post. The problem lies in your finding substantial similarity between Madden and football, so much that you tie together success in Madden and football knowledge. But by making that claim, you just told everyone that really does have football knowledge something substantially similar to 'My Corolla drives just like that Ferrari,' or, 'My job as a computer engineer is just like your work as a brain surgeon': Sure, there are similarities in those analogies, but the substance of those things are so completely different from one another.
Enjoy your Madden game. If EA did a better job with Madden, I could have told you to enjoy your football simulation. But I can't, because it wouldn't be true.
Lets be real, being good at madden has little to do with understanding football. Most of those pre snap adjustments are about manipulating the AI rather than really understanding anything about footbal.

It’s almost like madden is just a code running continuously and dynamically with user input and can’t indistinguishably mimic reality and putting a box on the ”right” way to exist within that code will hinder your ability to manipulate it in your favor.
I never said that Madden is 1:1 with football. I never implied it. My main point with all of this is that there are people that are actually good. They get that way because they study the (video) game and don’t blame the developer or the game when they lose.
V1kiNG8687 said:"Just played a guy who's team was mostly 95's" cappp.. I'm on legend and run into 95s here and there but never a whole damn team 😂 scheme only gets you so far on this game bro. Between the glitches, nanos, etc.. This game has nothing to do with real football. Bill Belicheck would be terrible at this game because he would try real life schemes that would get ate up by nano blitzes and insta-sheds.
Especially with the 84’s currently on the Patriots’ real-life squad.

Then don’t talk to anyone about how much you have to learn about football to compete in Madden. For everything you could learn from football that applies, you have to learn two non-football things and apply them counter-intuitively to be successful in Madden. Just say that learning to play Madden better makes you better. But that’s saying nothing of value, and takes away from the argument you make for Madden.
It should be better than it is.

You're not as smart as you think dude, sorry to tell you. The game is garbage period.

I can’t believe I didn’t see it before. You’re so right. Thats just like my career as a surgeon. For every 1 thing I have to learn about software development, I have to learn two about anatomy and physiology. So frustrating! I should only have to learn programming languages to be good at replacing people’s organs and repairing connective tissue.
Do you see how dumb that sounds?
Also, I can talk to whoever I want about whatever I want, and you can go kick rocks.

Most of people’s frustrations with dumbed out defenders and unresponsive assignments could easily be fixed if they played on all madden. I honestly didn’t understand what they meant until i started playing the house rules. a hard flat will run with a crosser and an inside vert hook will match with a corner at random.
