There are some flaws, but I feel as tho I like the field pass. You can easily compete as an NMS player. Coins are easy to obtain. They've done a good job keeping us on the game with content every week. Now obviously the gameplay isnt perfect but we should consider the good side.

they need to balance the game a little more and slow the pacing of the game down, make tall or heavier players slower and smaller and lighter players faster.
This has been my favorite madden in years. But not for any of the reasons you listed. The exact opposite actually.
NMS really can't compete, unless you spend countless hours flipping on the AH. They also have continuously lowered rewards from challenges, SB's, and H2H to the point where building a coin stack is incredibly difficult without spending money or flipping.
I think the gameplay is actually the one redeeming quality. There will always be a cheesy meta but the new passing system is great and feels very realistic and rewarding.

NMS can definitely compete. Even before I spent $50 on the game to bolster my coin stack my 93 BND squad matched up quite well with high tier teams. The new passing system is the main reason why I have success in H2H.
And I only spend 2 hours a day on weekends playing the game, which about an hour total spent on the companion app without much success trying to flip.
It was way better then 22 and 21 but it still had its flaw agreed with the field pass good add but scared to see bext year after what they said😬

Eh, I disagree.
Sure, you can beat someone with a better team if you're skilled enough, but there's no denying NMS is at a significant disadvantage. 93's have to pay like 3x the AP for the same abilities as top end cards rn. In the older maddens you didn't have any ability or AP system that dictated the usefulness of a card. Which is how lower overall cards stayed relevant deeper into the year. The rewards also used to be a lot better. I mean promos used to give you a full champion just for playing the game, now you get 1 of the 5 players needed for a champion set, and its BND so it can't even be used in the set.
theres so many flaws with the game, but it still is fun and i play it. i just wish it was a bit more realistic and my players would cover there zones like there supposed to not let PA crossers go right behind them
Unnecessary delays in content dropping then in some cases was still flawed even after those delays……same ol shit with content and cards……lack of upgrades on too many cards……flawed animations on both sides of the ball…..and personally i am not a fan of the power-ups only on the legends and it only being to discount abilities
I play Franchise more than MUT so my opinion will be based on Franchise gameplay.
Madden 23 on NEXT GEN systems (Xbox Series S|X / PS5) is the best it has been in the last 10 years. And I've played all the Maddens since the first ones back in the 90s.
Now saying that, there are a lot of things broken in this game. A lot of legacy failed gameplay from the past. I'm not ignoring that. But this is the first year when 'on the right track' is actually on the right track.
The best thing I like about M23 is the passing difficulty. Now I understand there are so many people who complain that M23 has too many interceptions. But they're not getting the point.
This is an NFL simulation. Passing SHOULD BE Hard. In Madden 23, if you don't make the right read or don't adjust to the defensive package pre-snap, you will and SHOULD get intercepted. I absolutely LOVE what they did here. They made the human user have to actually THINK and make the right decision when passing.
I like my NFL Simulation games hard. It SHOULD be Hard to pass in the NFL. This is not pee wee football. I like being awarded when I correctly read the defense and make my adjustments. And I like being punished when I don't.
I know I am in the minority and a lot of Madden gamers are casual and would like things a little more easier on the passing side. I just think it's perfect . It reflects how fast the Dbacks and LB's are in the NFL compared to say college football or any other level of football.
As for MUT, this is my first MUT in like 5-6 years. I come from MLB the Show Diamond Dynasty mode where you can get a great 99 ranked team with NMS yearly. MLB the Show really does a great job for gamers who want to do offline and still gain coins and great cards.
In MADDEN 23, I have been absolutely joyed that I can get a great team with NMS. I remember the last time I did MUT, there was no way to have a good team without spending money or doing all online games.
I started playing the game when it was released on Gamepass the Thursday before the SB. I only played Solo Battles, and the SuperBowl and Playoff challenges, and in about a week's time I was up to over 1million coins. Along the way, I sold some players to gain coins and kept a lot of 90+ ranked players on my roster. And I was able to buy other higher ranked players from the auctions.
So I am pleasantly surprised in MUT Madden 23 this year that they allow you to build a 90+ team by just doing offline gaming and NMS!

I disagree. I’m at 6 mil nms and I started at the beginning of December. Buying cheap training and rolling tvps are the way to go and is more cost efficient than flipping on the AH
Hell no lol madden isnt even meh

I completely agree, and love the challenge of harder passing. I feel like it rewards my skill playing the game... skill I didn't know I had in previous Maddens because they didn't have this mechanic.
I like the game play, ability meta and amount of content. Will 100% be buying next year.
Three major things that I believe need to be fixed however…
1. Ability Balance / Reworks. Some are WAY to strong and important. Some are absolutely useless, like actually do nothing.
2. Quality of life improvements. I shouldn’t have to set my audibles every game, the auction house UI and searching is abysmal Etc etc etc.
3. Most importantly the company needs to be WAY MORE transparent and tell us how things work. For example, I shouldn’t have to rely on mut.gg to understand how a basic ability functions or rely on a 5 year old forum post made by some random guy to make a guess on what the attribute breakpoints are.
