I've argued with guys saying that a "loop blitz" was completely unrealistic. Audibling 200 lb safeties to the line of scrimmage who play better than edge rushers was completely unrealistic. Audibling through multiple offensive formations without matching personnel just to glitch out your defense. Completely unrealistic. Because guys can't do this, they're our crying full force. This is from a post in a Madden FB group I'm in.

. They changed EVERYTHING FOR SEASON 2. On offense I cant even audible from tight slots HB weak to gun bunch offset like we could in bengals playbook. Changes my whole offense I've used for years. Then changing you cant contain for blitzes or audible down from 33 to 33 cub. THEN LASTLY TAKING AWAY COACHING ADJUSTMENTS, LIKE PLAY BALL PLAY RECEIVER. THEY DUMBING THE GAME DOWN FOR YOU SIMPS THAT CANT PLAY or have football IQ. Really disappointing. This was turning into a great madden then change everything for the worse. What's tall thoughts I mean taking away some coaching adjustments taking away audibles makes the game unrealistic

Id like to have play ball or receiver back but I'm not complaining because RN my defense is actually reacting to plays. So whatever they did made it where your players don't just stand still in zone

Also complaining you can't got from tight to bunch is kinda funny if you're made about loop blitzes yet running the 2 most toxic offensive formations in the game with multiple glitch routes

you still can go from bunch to tight its the same personnel. My problem with the patch is that it makes defense worse than it already was in a offensive game. Basically creating m22 2.0.

I personally feel like there's a skill gap in a defensive madden, whereas in a madden everyone can score every drive theres much less of one.

If you don't get it you don't get it. They patched cub which was the most "fair" defense in the game. The loop you can feel either way about (I like anything that adds skillgap so I mess with it because blocking it added to that) but people who are nice already know how to loop out of another formation.  The two most known meta defenses currently known are odd/6-1 and dollar. You'll now see twice as many of those as you did before which will still scream at you in an unrealistic way. They didn't touch rpos which are still ridiculously busted vs any 3 man front (including things like bear which should mess it up), as well as attempting to make the best defense for stretch rpos (dime and dollar) worse by taking away its adaptive A.I.. Theres not much to be happy about with the patch, it is what it is though, we still ball.

i don't even see any of this meta shit online so your probably playing the whales of the whales in H2H but besides that i don't even make that many adjustments. overall it's underwhelming and frankly no one should care that much.

I love the argument about "football IQ" as if any real team would be audibling and flipping their formation every damn play.

I understand your point but.... it's a video game... the patch basically made this game who gets the ball second wins. 

that's good for the casuals... not the hardcore, the ones that spend money consistently and spend hours on the mode. it is what it is, i'll adjust, but I have no clue where defense is going to come from.

I can tell you where it won't come from. Not from an unrealistic, exploiting loop blitz. Won't come from 3 3 5 wide where 200 lb safeties edge rush better than LT.  I can't believe folks are crying because exploits have been patched. Foh.
