I run mainly zone but I have Chad and porter jr at safety, should I move them to corner and play Man?
Definitely couldn't hurt to try it to see if you like it especially at this point in the year.
I run the hell out of man 2 man currently. Might be a good transition! I am personally still trying to figure out the best rotation for my CB's and Safeties at this time.
I've been through a LOT of revisions as i bounced back and forth between Man and Zone schemes to find what fit best for me -- i prefer playing straight up man in most situations, but ideally would have the option to float between some of each, however abilities basically force us to choose one or the other, so Man it is.
I doubt you'll find better Safeties than Chad Johnson (FS) and Joey Porter Jr. (SS), that's who i continue to use to this very day. As far as Corners, well here's my preferred order at the moment:
- Anquan Boldin (0AP OSA + 1AP Deep Route KO) -- hands down one of, if not THE best straight Man Corner in the game, especially if you have boosted team chems, he's fierce in both run and pass defense with darn near max stats
- Lester Hayes (1AP Universal Coverage, starts on + 0AP Deep Route KO + 1AP Pick Artist) -- i've waffled a bit, he was CB1 for a while, but i just recently moved him to CB2 as i continue utilizing "Default" matchup option for Corners
- Deion Sanders (0AP Pick Artist + 0AP Acrobat) -- quite possibly THE best corner in the entire game, easily the most productive on my roster
- Calvin Johnson (0AP Inside Shade) -- not much to report here, he's not getting burned, but also not making big plays or picks, as Deion tends to do. I have also used Ronnie Lott here, as he also gets 0AP Inside Shade with CB / 49ers team chems
Richard Sherman remains on the roster, basically for the x2 49ers team chemistry. Pola-Mao could fit in here somewhere, he's an absolute goon and could play SUBLB / USER or over top deep safety help, but i've been tinkering with Julius Peppers and Jayron Kearse GTs, undecided if i'll go back. In Dollar formations, i have Trey Lance with 0AP Tackle Supreme as the SUBLB/USER i fall back on most often, however in 4-3 Even 6-1 formations, i always USER Patrick Willis.
Ive always ran mainly ZCV but I like having mcv abilities for free like OSA or inside shade. Ive thought about building a mcv scheme but there's probably a big learning curve cause you have to account for routes that can beat mcv easily. Putting blitzes into ZCV and stuff like that would be useful and sending pressure and making sure your opponent wont have much time could also be nice.

I love running Man coverage. its awesome once you know how to shade your coverage . Dollar is a great option for formation
Ive been running man all year and switched to mainly cover 3 and it’s been working better. Man just gets shredded by the insane WRs now. If I do man I run db fire or pinch buck to get some pressure but I generally stick with zone. If your determined to do man that isn’t a blitz than cover 2 man works pretty well

I’ve always preferred nickel to dollar but there are definitely some great plays in dollar too that I have in my back pocket

Nickel 2-4 I don’t think the cardinals playbook has nickel 3-3

How do I shade my coverage? Still trying to figure things out
I’m running zone. I like using big, physical safetys at CB. I prefer adjusting my drops/zones annd baiting people into picks. Also running mind reader strat so my entire secondary had 99 play rec and awareness. I’ll throw some man in there just to switch it up. I have 2 free inside shades that help out to throw people off.

Deion doesn't get burnt in man with acrobat he always dives for a pick and the other guy gets a touchdown. I have mid route deep route and pick artist for 1 ap
I run cover 2 out of dollar and sometimes switch to zero blitz when I want pressure and cover 4 drop contain when I'm trying to hold them max sting is also a hella fun play you user the he DT I have so many picks with Jason Witten DT people rage so hard when you come of the line and pick them off

this. i switched to man to try out Boldin with OSA and DRKO, the new Haynes card with Inside shade and the new GT Parham with DRKO and they get burned a lot with crossing routes and corner routes. i do get a lot more success in blitzes but the risk is high to get burned deep
