Was playing MUT back in the day when these were introduced. Kraelo and EA said that these teams would be user teams that you’d be playing which is why you still see the names for each team. They fell short and have gotten shorter.
Just played my 4th straight solo battle game with Vick as the QB.

Yea, me too! I thought they were all EA "made up" teams until I saw my team name there. It was showing as 87ovr, when my team was a 90ovr at the time, so I wasn't sure until I checked the lineup. It was identical, except for any upgraded xard, which reverted back to their base ovr for some reason. You all may remember it since my qb was Otto Graham, not Vick!! Lol
I only do Veteran difficult to fulfill the Comp Pass, and it's been 98% Vick, 1.5% Johnny, and .5% MF Lamar Jackson.
Just finished yesterday's and uploaded today's 4 solo battles and what do you know 3 out of the 4 have 85 Vick as QB. Now I don't mind sacking and intercepting Vick, but this is probably the 9th time I've faced him in the last several days.

These are real players & teams, although often gimped in one way or another (to meet the OVR range). So the most popular, FREE cards in the game are used quite a lot. Sadly, EA is beyond lazy and pathetic. Asking for these type reasonable quality of life improvements is sadly barking up the wrong tree. I didn't know we could see copies of ourself, what a lucky roll you must have had to get that team option.
The game is stale and they've obviously been moving Dev resources into Madden 2025. This game will never improve as long as EA holds that exclusive NFL license. /sigh
Someday I'll actually walk away from the nonsense. I've been delusional thinking the "make or break" year for Madden actually meant something.

i havent played in solos in a while tho it says my next reset is in 52,000 hours which kinda sucks
i literally cant play solo battles for 6 years

Haha....I've seen some of your posts describing the nonsense you have been dealing with this year, and if you haven't quit yet, your not going to lol. I was in similar situation a few months ago, I got bs banned from auction house. I said screw this bs, I'm done. Lasted a full day. I think you are addicted like many of us who love the NFL and will continue to deal with whatever product they put out. I have to admit, I'm not hating this year as much as most, not having the Auction House has added a unique challenge building my team.

Correct you are, sir. I've become a full blown MUT-junkie over the past calendar year. Tried walking away a couple times already, think i only made it 4-5 days back in October when i first got banned. Lately I only could last 1-2 days, but finally had to take some drastic measures, removing my payment details from the Playstation account, let my EA+ subscription expire.
Even that barely lasted, once they dropped the Redux pack last week/end, i got suckered right back in, hoping to get one of those MUTmas LTDs i'd missed out on -- NOPE, got screwed, received bare minimum. Of course my pluses never plus, even at 45% odds. At least i managed to finally grab the Richard Sherman 93 OVR Cover Athlete, which does fit with my theme team.
Gameplay overall hasn't been terrible, but the problem is that i intensely want this to be a decent (fair, balanced and competitive) game... which are all things that EA can never live up to, for an array of reasons. I'm bored of grinding Solo Battles, online play has become tedious at best with no fatigue in the game. Dudes are just rolling out and heaving up prayer after prayer, using Dashing Deadeye ability on their 95+ SPD quarterbacks. They only need to complete 1 in 4 passes to keep the ball moving down field, so eventually defense breaks down. If it starts being fun again, i'm sure i'll rush back.
At this point I can't even be bothered to stuff the letter i drafted to EA Legal into an envelope and ship it off via certified mail. Walking away is the only reasonable decision, but as you so accurately pointed out, it's been easier said than done. How's your squad looking these days?

I wish EA was a little more engaged and skilled with coding to give us a bit more variety. I mean, we are mostly all winning big in these and it’s more a stat challenge, but some different QBs and weather and time of day will be really awesome.
And again 3 out of 4 are Vick (the other yesterday was Manziel). This was ridiculous before, now it's just bad. I many times must I beat Vick into submission during Solo Battles.
Such an easy fix:
Don't use user teams. The solo battles come in groups of four, so...
Just have one day where its NFC East, then North, West, etc
Repeat for all divisions. Then do all-star days, then do theme team days. It would require just the absolute tiniest effort from EA.
