FYI, was able to sell the most feared binder junk today. As a first year NMS player, is this the time of year your team stops being competitive? Was quickly up to a 91 overall, still a 91 overall. Was hanging with paid teams until 94s and 95s dropped. By the end of the year are all positions 99s? I don’t see how that would be fun but just curious
Yes u will have plenty of god squads just all 99’s across the board……u may get lucky once in a while and have guys that stick to their theme teams but its not too often
Teams don’t become non competitive, you’re just not as good as use players as a crutch to help you stay afloat.
great gamers can make a bad team good. Bad gamers make a good team meh. That’s why you have kids say Elway was bad when nobody was close to him.

Can definitely be the case. I’m still holding my own, but the team overall rankings were 89-91, quick drop of players and most are 93. Practically impossible to do if you are NMS to make that jump and you work 40 hours a week. Facts

To a point. And thats not a shot at you or anything but its very easy to keep up with teams but you do either have to card flip or be smart with your coins. Dont need the newest shiny card. Get cards to meet thresholds.
If you can keep a milli or so, you can get a full BND team. And with these Stocking STuffers will be easily good and should fill out most positions and with dudes coming weekly at this point going to keep it down. When I wasnt full legend TT, I would just keep doing BND sets to keep up and only switched to around Harvest. Now I have a older TT thats 92 overall and still 40/40 L team. I have a room to grab some stuffers. Just get a master set and sell the master and you get however many BND. I think stuffers are 5 92 and we only have 8 right now but well be getting more thurs. Just gotta make sure it works for you. But it will be basically the cost of 1 card if not less for 5. If you need help message me
kaotikords is 100% correct. For NMS players, I think the biggest thing is understanding that you will never be able to afford the newest and best cards, but with some strategic planning (and a lot of time playing the game), you can still field a very competitive team. My son and I are running a 40/40 Legends theme team and are currently sitting at a 92 overall (92 offense / 93 defense). I'm constantly looking at my lineup (thanks mut.gg lineup builder) and thinking about the best ways to improve our team while getting the most value for our coins. I have several upgrades planned, but just have to wait until the coin stack improves.

Agree with you both & still think what I originally said is true, but it's part of the fun I need to embrace. SO many cards coming out right now with higher OVR's, but being a first time MUT player, I'm assuming this is the case every year during Zero Chill.
Grinded some Field Pass stuff yesterday & today, landed some solid rewards that I was able to roll into the TVP or sets. Did not roll anything crazy, but got enough coins to upgrade some spots on my squad.
Earlier in the year, I just avoided some of the cards I really wanted / couldn't afford. Need to stick with that plan. Had a lot of Legends PUPs in backup spots, had to sell them to improve spots like CB & C, but plan to get back to 40/40 legends with the cheap PUPs soon (Chad Johnson at kicker is huge for the legends budget teams btw). Working hard for Sean Taylor & have 3/5 92 Stocking Stuffers in his set right now, but being NMS I am also very happy with my 92 Ed Reed
