What are some must-have abilities (offense and defense)? I have about 2 million coins and an 84 overall team - don't really want to spend an insane amount on players at the moment, but considering adding some abilities. Seems everyone I run into online has some and even if I have a better player at a position, I get outmatched due to abilities.
Edge Threat has been really good for me. D Ware and the new Shaq Barrett both get it. Right now I'm running duo ETs for the 6 total AP. If you don't want to do that, I had a lot of success running ET on Ware and D Rally on another player on my line. D Rally seems to give you insane pressure on 3/4 down and it seems like no one talks about it. These are the abilities I've found to be worth it on defense so far. Pick Artist just doesn't have the same feel to it this year.
On offense, throw gift wrapped on your QB for 1 ap at the very least. If you can get a RB with juke box or RB apprentice, do it. Those two abilities are very strong. Juke Box makes your juke animations incredibly hard to stop. RB apprentice gives you a texas route that's hard to stop - especially on CMC.
On offense, I think most people would say the slot and rb apprentice abilities and perhaps gunslinger.
Defense is a bit tougher maybe pick artist would be the one most people agree on.
I love RB apprentice on Bo but not just for the Texas route - the ghost route is an almost surefire panic button and underrated. Pretty clutch against the blitz meta even if it doesn't always go for much, but that's better than taking a sack or throwing a pick. I personally always swore by gunslinger but tbh there are times I find it a little overrated.

Sorry to post twice but I just read this one. I appreciate this food for thought because I have been wanting more pressure out of my DL and this sounds like a fantastic idea. Thanks for this. I might go for it.

just have to use the right sets, certain nickel, 3-4/4-3 sets are almost instant pressure.
