Mut 22 fantasy OL limited 1.5 mil

Ok so I had a idea, since really good linemen are pretty scarce and expensive, I want to see what yall would do if you had or have to already, a budget of 1.5 mil to spend on your 5 linemen. Obviously you want highest ovr but not necessarily necessary. 

How about 1 set of 5 OL for a mainly passing team,  1 set for a mainly running team, and 1 set of a mix or hybrid?

I think mine is Armstead, Hannah, Creed, Allen and actually not sure about RT, maybe Thomas, tho he's a LT. And thats prob my Hybrid.

Interesting list. Kinda surprised there’s no Bruce Matthews though. Pretty good SPD/ACC, 300+ lbs, and 99 at all pass block and run block attributes (fully powered up). He has completely outplayed John Hannah at LG.

Interesting idea, and this is pretty much how I've built my line all year, although without setting a specific maximum. I've tried to find the best guys for a reasonable price compared to LTDs/Reduxes that cost over twice as much (and may not play noticeably better than my players).

I've also tried to find linemen good for both passing and running, so here is my hybrid list that is currently valued at less than 1 million. You could use the remaining budget to power them up (which I have), and still spend less coins than the more expensive players:

LT Joe Thomas

LG Joe Thuney

C Mike Pouncey

RG Bruce Matthews (phenomenal pulling guard, and can play anywhere on the O-line for my Titans theme team when powered up).

RT Penei Sewell

Nice, yeah I haven't tried matthews yet, how's your C and RG oops doing? I had tried RT Haley and he did alright, nice speed to get downfield but he seemed to get beat too often. 

Are you more of a rusher or passer type? I'm more of a rusher so those quick OL are really what I need to go after. Im gonna get matthews tonight and check him out

I'd say Thomas @ LT and Sewell @ RT is a better combo than Armstead @ LT and Thomas @ RT, although I haven't tried Armstead. Both have better RBK, LBK, IBL, STA, STR, and COD than Armstead.

The only OOP lineman I tried was LT Rodney Harrison who did pretty well: very good at blocking fast guys off the edge, but occasionally just got powered through.

Ok so I took yalls recommendations  and put thomas at LT got matthews and put him at RG and gonna try Sewell at RT all powered up. I will report back. 

I found out Robert hunt RG easter card has baked in post up, anyone tried this guy? Idk if its worth it or not.

I agree with all of this and I also used Rodney Harrison LT for quite a while with the same results. He played pretty well and certainly much better than I expected.

Derrick Johnson C has been great for Trap runs up the middle. He almost always locks up with the user SubLB and holds his block very well.

Tedy Bruschi has also been great so far but I haven’t played enough with him to tell you what he’s best at.

Robert Hunt Easter card was pretty good when it came out but I haven’t used it in a while. I think it’s worth a try with the free Post Up.

So far thomas at LT and sewell at RT are rocks. Matthews is great wherever he lines up. I tried him at RG first then LG, kinda feels better at RG but it was a short test. Have any of yall tried Peat? He's kinda pricey but I got enough and am almost to level 30 with the 5 plat packs which should be interesting.. and want a beast line, at the same time those oop C and RG look intriguing. Man I've been playing madden since 92 lol and this is my first year to do MUT. So its been fun, but I suck at online matches, and I really appreciate yall giving me some ideas!

Glad those suggestions are working well for you. I would recommend at least trying those two OOP RG and C. Pretty low cost and very low risk as their prices have stayed pretty consistent. I haven’t tried Peat so I can’t comment on that. If you pull your Guards or C then I would look at ACC, AGI, and Lead Block attributes. 
 

I also played Madden for quite a while without trying MUT. Playing H2H certainly requires a lot of practice and patience. I spent a lot of time hanging around in games even when I was getting destroyed because I was trying to learn what my opponents were doing, recognize coverages and tendencies, and kind of figure out what works.

Glad to hear it, man! Once again SlowAndSteady is faster than his name suggests and absolutely right: ACC, AGI, and LBK are attributes to look for in a pulling guard. I also look for higher COD, IBL, AWR, and SPD. If you have the AP available, Nasty Steak and/or Puller Elite are good abilities on your pulling guard.

Those OOP linemen should stay at a pretty consistent price, so minimal risk if you try them and they don't work out. I haven't tried Peat, either, but his stats seem good. My biggest concern is his 88 STA for longer drives, but I don't know how noticeable that would be vs someone w/ 90+ STA. When I get it, I'll probably use my 99 PUP on Faneca for the discounted Post Up and since he fits the theme team, unless another 99 player I want comes along.

Nothing bad about having them OOP. I run a 3/5 OOP on my Steeler TT and they still play great.

Yeah, I generally look for best stats, rather than the player's natural position on O-line. At one point I think I had 3 LTs on my starting line with no linemen in their natural position, although now you can get end-game lineman that naturally play each position. I started tinkering with who my RG was when I would try a power run, and my RG or TE would be standing in the middle of a giant lane for my running back: not moving downfield or to the side to pick up a block, just getting in the way of my running back. That's when I started prioritizing guys with higher SPD, COD, AGI, IBL, LBK, and RBK. Bryant McKinnie was a monster at RG for me with his weight and speed, but I don't see anyone replacing Bruce Matthews for me there since his Sugar Rush LTD came out.

I used to run a 50/50 Steelers theme team, but now it's just 25. At one point the Steelers seemed to have one of the best O-lines in the game, then EA upgraded absolutely nobody since February except Faneca, who was already their best lineman. Frustrating that all Steelers upgrades seem to be a +2 to an existing top player rather than providing any depth for the team. I would love a UL Maurkice Pouncey so that I can move him back to starting center over his brother.

Well I think I've got 4 of 5 linemen I really really like, surprised no one mentioned Kelce at C. I got him and powered up and he's dominating. So its:

Hannah Rg (this one im not sure about, still tweaking the line)

Sewell Rt

I'm hoping the new 99 rookie premiers have someone thats killer, there's quite a few OL coming out with it and there was one, I forgot his name, its a odd name but his stats look amazing. And I wanna say he was a guard.
