Mut champions glitch

I played mut champions online and the guy took a safety on the first kickoff and got the two points instead of me. Wtf with this game?

its an old glitch, where you run a player out of the back of in the endzone, catch the ball with a different player. lateral to the player that went out of bounds, and take the safety, if you accept the penalty its glitches and gives them 2 points

Is that on next gen only? I haven't seen it at all on old gen
