If you could only call a play like 5X a game and have to call 2 different plays in between, I think that would immediately raise the enjoyability levels of MUT.
all of the frustrations I have are people running the same plays that just exploit AI programming instead of actually playing the game an enjoyable way.
is there any fundamental reason EA wouldn’t do this?
why would EA do this? That would make defense too easy. Come on man that’s silly, “I’m bad at defense so I think my opponent should be handicapped “….. learn how to shut down a play.

I wouldn’t “practically say” that at all. You know, you call plays on defense also? And not being able to spam the same play on defense over and over would result in the better defensive player winning.
as for me, I do well enough. I’m certainly not the best but I’ve won a few SBs, double the wins than losses and avg Score more points for than against. My point is to simply imply “playing the game“ would be more fun than exploiting glitches.…where is even the joy in that?

"playing the game" would count as adapting to what's being done to you and countering it.

I’m with you on the cheesy plays aren’t fun. I hate playing against people who try to do it, but mostly they’re the ones who quit after I get 1 pick or even just 1 TD. Most of the time I’m able to shut it down after a few trying a different adjustments. But I think only being able to call a play 5x times will limit offenses of players who do run offenses that take some though and skill such as mine which revolves around probably 6-10 plays which I run with different adjustments and none of which being cheesy or widely used. That one house rules a few weeks back for blitz where you could only call a play twice really limited what I try to do and it wasn’t at all fun.

Yes cause others learn how to stop plays instead of asking for a handicap.

It seems that this post is being taken the wrong way. My success levels in the game are pretty good and I’m currently in the Legend H2H division. However, I’m not THAT good and I assume I’ll demoted eventually lol.
I was only saying that I think it makes the game less fun, even if I’m able to sniff out their one play and make them quit. I’d rather play a great back and forth game with no cheese and lose, than have someone always onside kick, go for two, spam spinner, then spam deep PA routes, and then quit if I get a pick 6…that’s just no fun to me.
I appreciate your offer of helping, a very kind Response, and I’m always interested in learning how to improve. Defensive shifts to get better pressure is always what I’m searching for If you have any tips.

Horrible idea. If someone comes out in gun tight every play and they are bad, I'm going to stop them regardless of what they come out in. If they are good, they'll likely come out in gun tight and spend the entire play clock hot routing every play in the formation rather than coming out in the play they want. Either way, the problem is not cool down, it's the defense not knowing what they are doing.

I like to blitz out of dollar cover 3, I blitz Slot corner and I tuck him right on the hip of my DE…. Works for me.

To be honest, from what you've written, you seem like the kind of player who will in time be able to stop the cheese plays with an effective counter because you will have seen them enough times.
Just hang in there.
I totally understand where you’re coming from. I too like the back and forth gamesmanship instead of facing a guy who spams QB rollouts and deep corner route exploits. Me buying the multiple defense playbook was the best thing I’ve ever done this year. As others have said, I now run dollar a lot, unless the opponent shows he’s adept at running the ball. I still get plenty frustrated playing H2H by all the sweats and d-bags who run the same 3 plays all game, but it’s made me try out different formations, and I’m probably a better player now because of it.
