MUT Squads issue/fix?

Been having this issue in squads where my friend (ps5) can only play defense and i (pc) can only play offense or else the game instantly desyncs after showing both top 3's (no W or L). If i choose offense and he chooses defense, it works fine. If we play 3v3 the same issue occurs except he's left in the game alone against 3 ppl, and our random 3rd teammate and I get a W or L depending on if my ps5 friend wins or loses against the 3 dudes alone (also error message becomes "connection error" as opposed to desync in this case).

My question is has anyone been able to try squads since to see if this has been resolved? If the servers are still down ignore this lol

p.s.: I've read about others with this issue on EA forums so it's 95% not a client-side issue

(We can both solo queue as offense or defense just fine, in any game mode)

I had the issue from week 2 of the game launching. I never found a fix before my friends quit. I did read it was to do with a strategy item (boom, Hispanic etc) but never had the opportunity to test and another theory was it affected people who game shared together

Yea we saw that, neither of us gameshare and we both took our strategy items off, didn't fix. Appreciate it though
