Tom Brady OOP is the best option right now.

Even with his slow release?

Have you tried him? He gets 0AP Gunslinger baked in so his release is actually really fast.

How fast is it compared to Slinger 1 on Elway and Trad 2 on Bledsoe? Have yet to use scrambler Brady so I'm pretty interested.

I haven’t used Elway or Bledsoe but I’ve played against them a lot. That Bledsoe sidearm is terrible! OOP Brady is definitely not as fast of release as Elway but I’ve been more than impressed with it. It’s 💯 worth a try at close to rental pricing.
Using Tom Brady on my Chargers TT, replaced Geno Smith. Brady pretty good with gunslinger

I would agree with this. Brady's release with Gunslinger is pretty top tier. Obviously not as good as Elway/Rodgers, but not far behind. Bledsoe's release is quick on deep passes but on short or medium throws, it feels like he has to wind up longer than I'd like. Not to mention, as you said, the side arm throw can be frustrating as passes get batted down a lot easier at the LOS. Cunningham is probably better than Brady, but he also costs over 1 million coins more since you have to power him up to get his discounts
If I had to rank them, I'd go :
Elway
Cunningham
Scrambler Brady
Bledsoe
Rodgers
