My 1st year with no interest in Madden

Not sure if I am too old for Madden, but the OOP non-sense caused me to stop playing around the Super Bowl last year.

I am normally super excited to start playing this time of year, but have little to no interest in picking up the game. I cannot remember a year without playing Madden.

Anyone else experiencing MUT fatigue & tired of all the silly OOP garbage targeted towards the 12 year old crowd?

I was indifferent about playing M23 after I closed up shop on M22.  However, after the beta and seeing some of the other changes I'm looking forward to it again - not with the same excitement as years past but I fully expect the game to be better than 22

See you in a week or 2 then i guess.

With the changes they have seemed to make, they have definitely brought my Interest back.  I play MLB the show DD and didn’t know if madden would be able to take me away from it but I’m excited for it to come out this week.  Hopefully not a total letdown and the changes make the game feel more fresh.  I agree though, I hope they tone down the OOP stuff.

Oop makes the game fun and different. 
 

it’s not a real or even sim foosball game. It’s fantasy.

I’ve had the same feeling the past few years. The changes this year have me cautiously optimistic that the game might be going in the right direction (finally) but we shall see. That said, MUT fatigue is real, go play some CFM, no crazy OOP players to worry about if you don’t care for them (I think they are interesting usually, honestly just a different name on a player at the end of the day). Nothing wrong with walking away if you don’t enjoy it!

Sometimes a break is good. I missed Madden 20 and 21 and got more enjoyment for madden 22 and am looking forward to madden 23 now.  I never play much online gaming unless it was the house rules mostly stuck to challenges and solo battles and made it a mission to fully star every challenge that was put out. Also limit your time gaming and enjoy life.

I watched a few gameplay videos and it gave me enough hope to give it a shot. So far I like the gameplay, and the beginning of the year I really enjoy team building & playing strategic football in H2H before the crazy cards start popping.

Seeing the OOP Moss so early means I will probably be hitting the eject button right after the playoffs.

Sorry, not all of us are addicted EA fan boys who will play the game no matter what they throw at us. As I said, once all the Little Johnny pleasing OOP craziness got out of control, I shut it down for the season.

I feel really sad for you knowing that this game is such a major part of your life.

Wow you were right. Almost 2 weeks to be exact! 

Also we already have an OOP card. Christmas is a whole program so why would you play the game for Sept/Oct/Nov then quit?
