I’ve used quad, I’ve used Flash, I’ve used Maniac, and I’ve used Furious George.
In my opinion, there are better ways to win And there are better cards out there. I don’t claim to be a god but I do just fine and I consistently cream people relying on AKA X factors. I always get messages from Flash users and they are shocked how sick Barry Sanders destroys them.
On defense, you need to save your AP for your secondary. You want as many KOs and Acros as possible Or you want to spend on shades or OSA.
Let’s start by discussing the AKA pass rushers:
Some of y’all advocate 2-3 AKA pass rushers. You’ll waste 3 AP and get boxed up. Why is that? For one, a lot of you run 3 down lineman. Unstoppable force works for 1 On 1’s. You can blitz to create those 1 on 1’s but probably forcing yourself into a man scheme. If you’re running man, you’re going to need those AP for OSA and shades. But I digress. The xfactors are also only activated half the game.
Try this line instead:
Lawrence Taylor with ETE and DoN for 0 AP, 650k
Strahan with ETE and DoN for 1 AP. You can use literally any cheaper option with those abilities.
Derrick Brown with DoN and defensive rally for 0 AP.
These guys will have more chances to bring pressure throughout the game and you’re only spending 1 AP for bookoo abilities. You can also throw in Reggie white with inside stuff and double or nothing for an extra DT. If you are dead set on having an AKA, limit it to 1 but keep in mind its limitations. One last point, I’m sure that my tackles have had plenty 1:1’s vs these AKA guys, and lock them up with SP. Overall, I do see more pressure with this strategy, but it isn’t every play of course.
On offense,
Flash is the obvious answer whenever somebody asks who the best RB is. You’ll spend two AP for tank and his xfactor. You can add evasive or short in for free as well. Certainly not bad at all. But remember that the xfactor is only active half the game And if you choose short in you limit yourself to in routes And have a tall, unwieldy giant. If you choose evasive, you somewhat limit his passing game effectiveness. You can get both with tank for 3 AP.
Barry Sanders gets 4 abilities for 3 AP. Or 4 for 2 if you omit tank. Tank, evasive, human joystick, and I like grab and go. With there being lineman with 0 SP (also shutting down your X factor) it’s totally feasible . He will also dominate the entire game vs half, passing and running.
I promise if you try that stack, you are going to fall in love. Grab N Go is OP for passing, QUICKLY turning any reception in any direction you want to go. This stack will run silky smooth, sliding off of linemen and squeezing through the tiniest of holes. It’s also glitched. So many times he’s being tackled and just glides forward for like 8 yards. The breakaway speed is also INSANE.
I’m also running it on Payton now, same stack but he has more trucking. Right now, Sanders is 530k, you’ll pay more for flash and his 95.
Throw freight train on them and you will easily activate them Because remember, this stack is active on ALL runs and ALL receptions. You can probably take away an ability as well if you need the AP, he will still be OP. I just played my first game with Payton and activated freight train in the first half and again in the second half. It only turned off due to half time and my opponent quitting.
To summarize, you are probably pissing away AP on your defensive xfactors when you could get the same pass rush (if not better) for only 1 AP. Save the AP for your secondary, you’ll need it especially if you run man Or if you want to run a nutty and TOXIC zone scheme. On offense, you have options that are just as good and I truly believe play much better than the AKAs. AKAs didn’t ruin the game and they are not the be all, end all - so don’t feel like you HAVE to play with them To compete.
Free yourself from the chains of the new class and start having fun in madden again lol. I know some of you will get bent out of shape reading this but for those of you with an open mind - try it out and start cookin.
Lastly, I will admit I run a god squad, but I don’t think it really changes what I am saying. Strahan is the most expensive card I mentioned and you can find cheaper ends or rushers who get those abilities for 1. The other cards are on par with, or cheaper than the 98 AKAs while not requiring a 95 (another 150k) investment for AKA).
Hope this helps someone!
