Created a spreadsheet to track the O-line vs D-line card stats to track the big picture of the game. Was having a hard time tracking if a new cards was good besides just oh its better then my current card. Wanted to see how the meta cards compared to the opposite side of the ball. I looked at RBK vs Block shed, Pass block Finesse vs FMV , and Pass block power vs PMV. I then looked at the both the top 10 at the position and the top 3 at each position and looked at which side had the advantage. Just figured I might want to share.

u/whereitgoes84 does this every drop on reddit.
It basically comes down to weight + str + awr = block ranking (this is simplified of his math). Then it comes down to dice rolls whether you win in game lol.
With D, I usually use weight/finess & power (both 80 > right now) and speed.

Yea that guy is amazing. My goal was not to overlap his content. I just personally wanted to see the interactions between offense and def and see if any information could be mined. The idea started when Sapp was getting crazy pressure early on as he was one of the only DT to have high finesse moves and people were using like Rookie primers or core elites that could only do one or the other. Cards are more balanced now but still would like to look for mismatches like that(seems to be FMV is the premium stat). Some other use cases to look into was if a DE or edge was better, Like possibly why Bruce Smith is so much better then like LT for me for some reason. Or ideally which direction to run would produce the best results, given the top of the meta cards. Stuff like that.
Yeah hes awesome. I love his work.
What makes you say that FMV is the best one to look for?
What are you opinions on why some cards play above their stats or Smith plays better than LT?
Wow that spreadsheet info is really great, appreciate you doing this!

Again this is not like im coming out and saying this is bible, the whole point was just like "yea which is better or what should we be looking for? But with stats and not just word of mouth" to look and see what we could find. But I'm just seeing from the data that in general the avg top lineman in the game Pass block finesse is lower then pass block power by a couple points, couple that with the top cards like Wake has 92(not rocket science that it is good) has a significant gap to the even the best LT at 88. So while currently that card is practically unattainable it could maybe could explain why that Chase Young despite 79 power move was really good at 88 finesse. I think this data is better for finding value for A or B tier cards like that.
