My worse MUT loss of the year...in complete shock

I was up 2 with about 1 minute left in 4th quarter.

My opponent has ball on their own 40 yard line, way out of field goal range

.

Its 4th down, I think 4th & 7 or something between 5 and 10 yards

.

The run the crosser route TE play with the RB doing the outside loop wheel route, I think its called Mesh (they have been running this all game)

.

So I user my MLB Caleb Jones (the really big GT), as I dont trust the CPU to cover the wheel route in man, they usually get burned

.

My opponent throws it to RB on wheel route on the streak part of the route (a bullet pass, not even a high ball job)

.

Caleb is running step for step with Baby Gronk and I definitely am about to get an interception

.

I press Y to make the user pick to lock up the game.

.

Not only does my Caleb not jump, the ball literally goes right through his shoulders and into baby gronks arms for a catch

.

Even if Caleb doesnt pick it off, there is no WAY  pass should get through a 6'-9" LB and into a 4' RB

.

I was in disbelief...SICK, shocked

.

Like I understand DDA and random stuff, but this play defied Physics/LOGIC.

Um, they just added mini Gronk to the game, so how could I have lost to him hundreds of times??????????

Maybe 4 months ago something similar happened to me

Reel deeps gronk with matchup nightmare was running a streak and I had ray lewis stride for stride

I clicked y which should have been an easy interception put him in field goal range for the win

My guess is that baby gronk had matchup nightmare which made Caleb jones not animate for the ball

It sure does suck though

Caleb also has Universal coverage, so I am also upset I didnt get a KO, even if I didnt jump for the catch

Baby Gronk is a solid RB, but it is surprising to hear as this midget rb is harder to complete passes to than most regular sized rbs.

I feel your pain bruh.

The only thing that surprised me about your post is that it's July and that's the first time you've gotten EA'd for a loss?

I think i used baby Gronk for liek a single Solo Battle game and realized he's not anywhere close to as good as the other end-game RBs, so I almost immediately went back to Gibbs.  Brooks is fine, but i regret making that selection from my first RP set.  Definitely didn't need the team chems, but perhaps I'll find an excuse to try dual HB sets.

Sorry for yer loss, jim -- that's brutal, especially knowing you basically had the game in-hand.  I choked pretty bad last week myself, but more so user-error than getting EA'd, as Ducati so aptly stated it.  Hopefully it was just a normal game and not a crucial SB or deep Playoffs run.

I just got done tinkering with my roster, think it's finally time to take a stab at this new roll-out glitch offense.  Hopefully you'll bounce back from that devastating loss.  And let's hope I can figure out how to join these roll-out freaks.  I've been basically a statue in the pocket nearly the entire year, so this is a massive change in play style.
