Did you play regs or MUT? because it seems your complaint is with MUT. It's not that expensive to get the pass rushers and players that you were talking about if you want to try to upgrade (in MUT)

In any case if you know the route combos you can bag that and even if you have to go to man, the top tier DBs are man CBs... I have Blount, NTL, Adderly, Kam and Lott all either 98  or 97 

That would be bagged in 1 v 1 against a decent player.

Kinda hard to get a good picture of that since you are playing squads and the defense is usering the DBs though....that's not even from the Super Bowl event?

Its squads , thats where you'll usually find me outside of  HR events.  I'm done with this SB event, having some games be decided by who gets the ball first doesn't appeal to me anymore.

If I'm going 1 v 1 I'm not cheesing the AI, its not fun for me.

You've been playing a while so not sure if you remember or not but  somewhere  around MUT 15 or 16

They had issues with certain routes and formations forcing DBs and sometimes WRs out of bounds. Causing a massive influx of illegal touching penalties and instead of just turning off that specific penalty they "Hot Fixed" it by adjusting drop angles on DBs.

I get that in some zones DBs may go to the middle but part of the defense's movement in that video (aside from the opponent usering 2 DBs) is the QB rolling.

For nearly the entire game  they would be split up on  each side of the field.  My teammate doesn't have Identifier so if they don't declare themselves as the user I have very little idea if they change it up.

QB rolled because pre-snap I told him I was going right.   When there was't a User to beat I did that little stutter sit   step to pull the DB down and in then sidelined it.

Dickerson with Persistent was worse. 

Quads is the lite beer  compared to Dickerson

To deactivate Dickerson you had to tackle him for negative yards on a run. That rarely happened with an always active Freight Train

I can legit run a simple two route combo and just ruin AI coverage on the sidelines .

The game  is coded as such so DB don't run out of bounds so they all drift towards the numbers. if not In Man  Its easily exploitable by anyone who wants to.

We played in MUT. We have very similar teams actually lol, both 50/50 Steelers

The complaint is not about being able to stopping it or not  stopping it. 

The complaint is that the playerbase so willfully does it and sometimes proudly at that. That and since 99.99% do the same things nearly all of my H2H games are identical in play. Thats boring and non stimulating AF homie. 

Why should anyone take them seriously as a player or a person if all they're going to do is cheat the CPU? 

If you had to explain said ways of playing  to someone who didn't play Madden do you think they'd be impressed?

MUT, but I have a steelers tt. That would put me below 50/50 and I dont have the coins to convert to a hybrid.

dude a short side flood concept is a lot of what people who complain about this talk about as if they expect a flat zone and a deep zone to guard a corner, a flat and a clear out. 3 is more than 2

Im not talking about flood concepts  I don't expect the CPU to cover two routes 2 yards apart,  less  expect the CPU to cover two  routes  that are 20-30 yards apart.

I'm talking about these topics  from my OP

Anything that wonks out the AI or things that takes advantage of the piss poor programming.

like

Mashing the million buttons pre-snap to get X player an advantage or get them rushing unblocked

or 

The nothing but sideline oriented  coward route Offense that currently plagues this game

Have them explain  why  they be mashing all them buttons pinching, spreading ,bunching  pre-snap or why they only run RPOs  and they can't do it without the mental gymnastics.

Very cool. It's been a minute since I personally played regs....but I am an oldhead so I like using legends and stuff :) I am going hybrid, 55 playoff , 30 Super Bowl. For me, I love the SB Past cards ...huge Giants fan but I appreciate Lott, Kam, Blount, Casper, Doug, Plax, Sapp...even real old school guys like NTL and Herb....

I'm sure you're a Plax fan  and Hines....If I had room I'd get Hines into my starting lineup but he doesn't really fit :(...Megatron, Plax, Zay are my top 3 ....But in run situations Hines would be a boost...best run blocking WR I've seen....Larry Fitz is up there too

okay well imo a lot of those defensive adjustments are just being good at a video game. linebacker a gap blitzes happen in real life. It’s your job to block them. And throwing routes at the sideline is just, a good strategy? I don’t know what you want people to do otherwise

Oh yeah. Hines ward broke linebackers bones. I don’t have plax and im actually not the biggest plax fan. He’s really fun in madden but in real life, let’s face it, he’s a giant

That's funny, I always thought of Plax as a Steeler; he had more receptions and yards with them but more TDs as a Giant and he did have the game winning TD for them in the 2007 Super Bowl....

Plax was always a bit wacky. And a bit of a headache...but a 6'5" target who could dominate when he really wanted to....

And his card in Madden right now - best WR in the game hands down....if you haven't tried him and don't mind spending the coins, he's a beast!!

But yeah, I never thought of him as a "true" Giant because of his attitude issues
