But EA won't have a monopoly on football games for much longer.  And while FIFA and others account for a larger share, if EA took a big hit on the Madden franchise it would certainly affect their stock value and their shareholder dividends which is the only thing that would really drive EA to put out a better product. The Madden franchise profitability can still affect EA's position in the market

I still believe the only way to reach EA is through the NFL. If enough people got the NFL's attention on how their license is being used it could move the needle. There's nothing the NFL hates more than bad press that makes the shield look bad.

Very true. 

Do we know how much longer exactly they have? Theres not been new contracts set up for anyone else? 

Ult Team (not just madden) is 1.5b out of Eas 7b total profit lol - Sadly I cant find specific break downs but Im sure 50%+ is just from Fifa.

I get where youre coming from but they dont care. Thats why they STILL do the vets stuff (the military pays the NFL for that) and the cancer in oct went from just breast to any cancer.
