I see a lot of threads places about cards and whatnot, even minor schematic pow wows.
I'm making this thread for people that have offensive questions schematically. For people that would like to include advice or strategy. Not really exactly sure how this is going to or supposed to go, but I'll start.
I like to start games offensively with my backup QB in and run a read option. The reason why is to strictly see what and how the opponents defensive ends are playing. Are they crashing or are they containing. That way you can get a better idea on how to attack your opponents defense in the run game. If they stay at home on the option then odds are you're going to be able to run in between the tackles consistently as you are eliminating a run defender. If the ends crash then you can set up outside runs. You can dictate the line of scrimmage this way and keep your opponents guessing in the run game. Even run commits lose effectiveness if you have them guessing the wrong direction. The backup QB is so your starter doesn't use unnecessary energy or get unnecessarily hit.
