right haha? i dont know why there is so much negativity towards old gen users. im happy as hell they fixed it. it has 0 affect on new gen users so i dont get all the fuss towards us wanting to not stare at one menu for 2 minutes.

I think we are all cried out about our menu issue now, but appreciate the support. Since we are done with that we could help support some of the things you have been crying about. I cant cover them all but from just the past couple of weeks I've noticed:
Slants, Most Fear Promo as a whole, Kickoff returns are "rigged", game never lags until you have a super bowl then EA decides to make you lag, Defense sucks, Montana Card cant make open passes, MF strat cards are op, Mut champs sucks, EA makes you watch TD celebrations after scoring a TD, and EA allows people to talk on their mic.
Which one you want us to tackle first?

Dude, I am glad they fixed this. I mostly play on current gen but when my kids are on the newer consoles I actually also have the game on old gen. While I understand that at some point EA will phase out old gen support, etc, and I am cool with that, I also think it is awful that the game had played so much better in S1 on old gen so I am happy that they fixed this. And rightfully so. If you release the game on old gen, and it plays a certain way for a few months, you need to at least maintain that level of play. It's good that EA fixed it.

I'll add that when I say gameplay is "better" on the old gen version of the game... I recognize that this is a personal opinion. Some call the old gen version of the game "arcade" to contrast it to the more "sim" style of current gen version gameplay. Whatever. But you won't hear anyone playing the old gen version of the game saying that defense is impossible against good players. Yet every day, I watch streams from highly skilled players saying they can't get stops on defense with this "sim" style of game. If that's what some prefer then so be it.... I accept that as their opinion and personal preference.
Where I take exception is when people try to argue that the game play is actually BETTER with the current gen version of the game. It's different.. but it's not better. The tackle battles are childish. The onside kicks are ridiculous. And the sluggishness of usering is not the Madden I came to enjoy over the past ten years playing this silly game. On the flip side... we old gen'ers still have to deal with the FG block exploits... but I've come to actually enjoy that as part of the strategy of the game.
Edited to add... omg the menus are as fast as I can ever remember in ten years of playing MUT (old gen version on XBox Series X console). Now if they could just stay this way!

exactly. at some point its coming to an inevitable end, but im glad they realized they couldn't just screw everyone over that is still on old gen. i was genuinely prepared to stare at menus for 2 minutes for the rest of the season lol. there is literally no downside to them fixing this in my opinion. i fully prepare to finally just cave and buy a new console for next year but this is the only game i play on my xbox, thats the only reason i havent switched yet.

Yeah, since they don't let you transfer your old gen binder to new gen console may as well finish out this season....The Xbox S is nice but the X is really awesome. I have 2 in my home now; one for kids to play on and one for Dad (me) to play on :)

Wrong again boi. As I said before, old gen is still a large customer base and we pretty much all stopped spending when the menu issue hit. It was costing EA and I'm surprised they let it drag on this long. The morning the patch fixed it I dropped some $.
