Are those of you in the know, who talk to EA resources, aware of any stance on this? Is it here to stay or being evaluated?
My last 3 Champs games:
3-0
7pts
57yds passing
24yds rushing
2 int
something had to change. One stop or TD and it’s a wrap.

That's terrible! I have to play a few games in the next couple days and I'm not looking forward to it.
What did ea expect forcing people to play a mode that only the diehards and glitchers play. I am one of the people that gets my stats I can and quickly bounce if it’s a guy I struggle to move the ball against. don’t care you know every exploit the game has and can take advantage of it play by yourself. it’s people that glitch and having no matchup criteria causing people to jump out fast.

its funny that you're on the other side and equally frustrated. i'm just awful and as soon as i know i won't win i quit bc why waste time if i won't get any stats out of it. it sucks just as much for you because you need the stats but no one will stay to play.
i'd gladly stay and get my butt kicked if i could rack up 50 rushing yards and 50 passing yards and get a couple tds while losing 35-14 but why even bother once it's clear i'm going to lose?

I hate it too. I’m pretty average so I am one of the early quitters and suffer from the early quitters as well.
I think the two issues the MUT team are trying to control for are:
1) the issue in Battle Royale for anyone who plays the Show. Two players can match and agree to run up stats to clear all their objectives in one game. Really hard to find someone willing to do that for you if their stats don‘t count when they lose.
2) they clearly have no ability to control the DC glitchers that exploited the 25-0 reward, so the objectives can’t be win only.
The real problem is reimagining a mode that was designed to see who could win the most games for rewards into an engine for season pass progress. It just wasn‘t a good idea.

Aware of their "stance"?...my guess is it is doing exactly what they intended it to do. Rarely does EA make a "mistake"...I'm sure their were numerous meeting complete with bagels and little donuts where this was discussed by some smart folks. They may change later, but my bet...they know exactly what they are doing.
This is the biggest issue with the game. No motivation to play anymore with this garbage going on

When I finally realized yesterday at the end of the 3rd that I was going to lose, I started ”guess run” to let my opponent score so I could continue to grind passing yards not contingent on a win.
He had to have completed a bunch of his CP stats but so be it. Rage quitting doesn’t make sense if you need stats also.

rage quitting makes perfect sense if you know your going to lose. This system is beyond stupid
i am just doing solo battles and daily since i can't get anywhere with mut champs stats. idk why we can't just reward wins the way we used to with the scale paying out more when you won more. 4th quarter points has to be the dumbest one imaginable.

10000000%
I seriously doubt that EA even knows how bad this is. Their developers clearly don't play the game... at least not as much as we all do.
I for one think they need to add some incentives for losing players to stay in games... (I like the idea of getting half their stats in a loss). I also think they should add some damn incentives for players to finish thier 25 WL games. This used to be THE mode for hard core players to earn good rewards. But now... there's no incentive to play all your games if you have completed your stats.
That all being said... I think some players need to have some more heart. This past WL I was 22-3. I had two guys quit after seeing my top 3 cards... one guy quit after losing a hitstick fumble on the opening kickoff... two guys quit after I stopped them on their opening drive... and then several others quit after I scored on my opening drive. Seriously WTF? How do you expect to get better if you don't learn to overcome a little adversity? Do you realize you can improve by playing games where you're outmatched?
I learn more from my losses than my wins. I got thrashed 48-21 by a Gun Bunch TE scheme in my Legends super bowl yesterday and it forced me to watch all the replays and get into practice mode to revisit my defense against this scheme. Now I can't wait to face this dude again.
Everyone should at least play one full quarter before quitting out.

no one cares about getting better. mut has become do your objectives as quickly as you can and nothing more. they ruined the game with this strategy.

"no one cares about getting better..."
Then why play the game? Is it just for card collecting or building a giant coin stack? I'm not judging... if that is what motivates you then that's fine... I just don't get it.
