Wow I did not expect this to blow up this much at all. I agree with many points on here and am happy that there are people in the community who understand where I'm coming from and are also upset over it. I understand not all youtubers promote these scams such as mmg, and I have no problem with them because they're doing nothing wrong. However, I've also noticed the majority of the channels that do promote these scams typically are even more targeted towards a younger audience then others which is just messed up because they'd have to be dumb to not know what they're doing.

All thats besides the point because just to name one recent example, popular stranger just hosted an event and stream on EAs account not long ago and he is just one or many of the people we are talking about.
popular stranger doesn't have a coin sponsor. I watch 80% of his videos and it's never come up. Regardless, like you said it's irrelevant if kids do not know how the ban bots work than they get banned after they've spent their allowance because of zirksee. You can buy coins and sell cards at 75% of the max price that's listed without getting a ban/coin wipe. You also have to be careful which positions you do, for example kicker, punter, fullback seem to be more monitored while strategy items, and playbooks were not which is why we cannot sell/buy them anymore.
The real problem is if coin dealers aren't kept in check EA is going to take the auction house from EVERYONE, just like they did with the trade block.
And to the people saying they are just trying to get a bag, I feel like they have much better ways to do so than profit off kids who don't know better. They can livestream and accept donations or something for all I care but I just dont like the scamming aspect

This is true as well, I'm aware that 2K took the auction house away from myteam(i think) and I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if EA copied them to try and make more money. The outrage would be enormous though, and all the people who've been thinking about quitting every once in a while actually will quit for good. You'd have to have an incredibly bad pack addiction to want to still play this game mode with no auction house.

And then theyll lose even MORE money when alot of people stop playing. Im not saying you're an ea employee or anything, I dont think you are (although they def do clearly have fake accounts say nice things) but it always baffles me that anyone OTHER than those accounts can take the stance you are here. EAs game is broken in almost every way and they dont pretend to care. They are owed nothing. They really should be happy to get what they do in profits for what they put into this joke of a product.
As for the specific topic though, I know id quit tomorrow if they got rid of the AH and Im far from alone.

I think the auction house really evens the playing field for people who are no money spent but understand how to work the auction house to make coins via investments, and flipping, or by doing sets. If they took that away it would really become lopsided for nms players trying to beat pay to play guys who spent 100s of dollars on bundles. I'll never rip a bundle, I've spent $40 to buy 2 million from a coin dealer before but ripping a bundle with these pack odds you are lucky to make 400k from a $100 bundle.

Not an EA employee, just a popular stranger fan lol. I've bought from coin dealers in previous years though and have been coin wiped once. It is absolutely broken, and pack odds are worse than ever. People complain a lot about it being "pay to win" which I'll always argue against because joker cale and ijoebruin have both had top 32 appearances in the mcs despite being nms. but if you take the auction house away it becomes completely pay to win in the worst possible fashion and I would hope the entireity of the nms community would quit at that point.
I'm really hopeful that bringing back NCAA can give us at least one good option for a football video game

Exactly. If they got rid of the auction house NMS would literally go extinct. But knowing EA and how they've worsened pack odds year after year, maybe that's just their main plan after all. They know the big content producers would still rip packs regardless and influence others to do the same.

I'd probably still try my best without spending money, even if it meant playing offline majority of the year. The team building in mut is my favorite part of madden, and I don't care for the personalities that run CFM

Idk, I think if alot of people stop playing theyll also stop watching content related to it. I know I watch ALOT of pops vids, zirksee too, cc, a few others here and there. Id literally never watch them if I wasnt playing MUT. I know this because I hadnt played MUT for a few years and forgot zirk even existed until I found him again this year now that Im playing it this year. Last few years only madden content I consumed was general info and roster update info from Eric rayweather.
