Here is where you can learn how different gameplay features can impact how you play! I hope that this helps you become a better Madden player and have a better understanding of the game!
Throwing Accuracy:
When throwing farther than these amounts, accuracy penalties are applied:
- Bullet Pass - 20 yards
- Lob Pass - 30 yards
- Throwing off of the back foot applies a throw power penalty of 33%
Throw animations vary based on pass distance:
- Short pass animations- 0-20 yards
- Medium pass animations - 20 - 50 yards
- Long pass animations - 50+ yards
Throw accuracy can vary based on pass distance. The shorter the pass, the more accurate it is.
- Short - 20 yards
- Medium - 30 yards
- Long - 40 yards
QB Pressure:
- Must be within 3.5 yards radius by default for pressure to apply, apply minimum pressure penalty
- If within 1.5 yards radius or closer by default, apply maximum pressure penalty
- Pressure does not apply until 2.2 seconds after snap
Shovel Passes :
- If running away from RB, max distance for shovel pass is 3 yards
- If running towards RB, max distance for shovel pass is 7 yards
High passes - Accuracy:
- Deep high pass has 15% accuracy penalty
- Medium high pass has 10% accuracy penalty
- Short high pass has 50% accuracy penalty
Low passes - Accuracy:
- Deep low pass has 15% accuracy penalty
- Medium low pass has 10% accuracy penalty
- Short low pass has 5% accuracy penalty
High/Low Passes - Other Information:
- Using a high/low pass slows the remainder of the route down by 10%
- Using a high/low pass slows the speed of your targets jump by 25%
- Low passes have a minimum height of a half a yard
- Minimum time for receiver to adjust to high pass is .5 second, max time is 1.5 seconds
Throwing Accuracy Thresholds (Prevents random inaccurates at these points):
- Short - 80
- Medium - 85
- Deep - 90
Throwing On The Run:
- When throwing on run, minimum power penalty of 15%
- When throwing on run, maximum power penalty of 65%
- When throwing on run, minimum accuracy penalty of 10%
- When throwing on run, maximum accuracy penalty of 65%
- Random 25% penalty can be applied on any throw on run, effects power and accuracies
Throwing During Controlled Rollout (PA, etc) - Accuracy:
- Minimum of 2% accuracy penalty
- Maximum of 25% accuracy penalty
Actual Throw Power:
- Up to 50 THP, max throw distance is 40 yards
- After 50 THP, it scales by .5~ yards/+1 thp up to 68 yards max throw distance at 99 THP.

Ratings Based Accuracy (Thresholds):
Actual accuracy is not reflected by rating, instead, it is reflected by mini-thresholds
- 75% at 65 Accuracy (S/M/D)
- 85% at 70 Accuracy (S/M/D)
- 88% at 75 Accuracy(S/M/D)
- 90% at 80 Accuracy S/M/D)
- 95% at 90 Accuracy (S/M/D)
- 97% at 95 Accuracy (S/M/D)
- 99% at 99 Accuracy (S/M/D)

- At 60 or below throw on run rating, 100% of penalty
- Scales down to 70% of penalty at 99 throw on run
