second, my point wasn’t that consoles move on. If they don’t release madden 25 on ps4 it’s fine. I don’t care much. It’s people encouraging it, and celebrating it in a way that’s classist as hell for no reason that annoys me.

I'm 40 years old and grew up poor with every handouts you can ask for. Broke that mold and said not going to be me. I was 1 of 10 kids. I work in a hospital, for 15 years and see it every day. I also have a few siblings still considered poor who get everything handed to them possible. My kids go to a low income school area. We actually live in a different town but they have soccer because of the very high rate of Hispanics enrolled over the last 10 years. So we school choice there. We see it there in every way imaginable. They're also friends with these kids and they have anything a middle class family would as far as vehicles, TVs, gaming systems etc... I think maybe you need to quit watching The View.

It's also pretty obvious when you go to Walmart around tax time and see the typical Walmart crowd pulling their carts up loaded with electronics then paying for the food with ebt, don't need to check fox for that homie.

First off, good on you for the working. Second, idk what the soccer thing was about that was weird. Third, I’ve never watched the view. finally, poor financial decisions by other people are not an example of you being correct

Hey man, you're the one that brought up classes and poor people. Not me. If anyone is being classist it's you, white knighting for no reason. 

Do you disagree that taking resources from the main game everyone plays at this point to support obsolete hardware that doesn't even get feature complete service is bad? Do you REALLY disagree with that? Ain't nothing classist about it. You're the one making it weirdly classist. Moving on from old hardware is something that most people understand since they were children and never identified it as a class issue, yet your white knight butt comes in here and calls people classist for wanting the game to be better. Chill out.

as I said, my problem wasn’t the game moving onto a new system. It’s the people who are actively angry that ps4/xbox one is still getting the game. I didn’t say anything that could even slightly be considered classist, others did, which is why i said the majority was wrong. I’m sorry for saying something that upset you, it certainly wasn’t my goal. Have a good night dude

edit - I didn’t say I was better than most people. I said most people in this thread, the people rooting for poorer people to lose the ability to play a game. I think I’m an average person, in a thread with below average people

This isn't the argument you think it is. Having to split a game across generations holds the engine back, on top of splitting resources.   

And the current generation of consoles have been out for almost four years. If people haven't upgraded yet, that's on them. They're not entitled to holding everyone else back because they either don't want or can't afford the new console. It's life, get over it. If you can't get the newer consoles, then stay on the older ones and play older games.

I have a newer console - I don’t have a strong opinion on whether they should reduce support for old consoles. I do have an opinion on people who are legitimately upset that older consoles are supported. It feels like when little kids only want their ice cream if their brother can’t have any

So are you saying you're ignorant to the fact that splitting games across generations inherently limits what a developer can do, or are you saying you don't care and you desire an inferior product to make those who can't get or refuse to get an almost four year old console feel better about themselves?

How many people are even on PS4 and Xbox One for Madden? I can't imagine it's anything but astronomically low. 

It's better for a game to actually update after years of handicapping itself. Madden's been at that point for awhile, and it's not unique to them either, Destiny's been at that point for years. This is like desiring that the DS Pokemon games should've also been made for the Gameboy.

The entire reason people want to let the older consoles go is due to it holding back the games we have right now. Nobody's position is, "I hate people who don't have have these four year old consoles, they shouldn't ever have fun," which is your insinuation. 

And I fail to see why telling people to either finally buy a four year old console or be content playing older games is somehow controversial.
