Well after I finally got my team and coins back I decided to change how I play the game this year and so far it's been more fun and stress free. I stopped playing the challenges and I don't even look at the field pass if I get something okay if not then okay too. I look at the daily objective for the coin pack only and everything else I ignore. I started playing just a single solo battle game at a level that is competitive with my low overall team and it's been fun and challenging but the first couple of days I did this the objective were just out of there mind so I never completed them after that so far my objectives have been get 1 sack, 5 tackles, and 10 tackles. I find kind of funny that it has lowered all the sudden but as soon as I finish the one game I shut madden down and wait for the next day and so far I have been enjoying the freedom of not worrying about completing the challenges or crawling up the solo ranks to get rewards. I don't think I will change how I play and stay on it like this for the remainder of it's days. I will build my team up with coins but only through the coin pack special season offers and leave it at that. So far I got an 80 overall team and not the best but for what I am doing it works perfectly.

Good on ya...I like this technique and employ something similar. I firmly believe the game is kinda scripted (not completely...but I feel strongly EA has their thumb on the scale) and upgrading cards don't make that big a difference (would think all those numbers would matter more)...so now...like you...I play to just enjoy the journey and let the worthless rewards land where they may. Enjoy the rest of the summer and have you some fun.

Yeah I am still playing and just building my team up with the one coin pack daily specials. It's not much but it's been fun building my team blindfolded I guess you could say.
Only new problem now is solo battles are not even showing any progress every time I win a game. It just stays blank which is weird. I am guessing it's just another EA issue.
Yeah I cant play solo battles. Two weeks in a row I didn't get any rewards so its pointless. Thats kinda how I get better in Ultimate Team games too so it sucks.
H2H is built in such a way there's mandatory "parity" within certain margins in these games. Wouldn't wanna say it's rigged but it kinda is. Can't have the whales curb stomping the NMS player ALL the time just most of the time. Otherwise people wouldn't have a reason to get pissed off and go buy more packs.

I committed to a similar change in approach before purchasing Madden 25.
I was never a big H2H player, although there was a part of me that wanted to be. I try a few games each year and after the usual ass-whippings I stop.
I do use the season field pass as a goal but here is my approach:
1. Primary objective is to complete the daily objectives.
2. Complete weekly objectives
3. Complete as soon as possible the objectives for recurring programs (Legends, TOTW, AKA, etc)
4. Complete Team Builders/Diamonds or any other theme team related program to where it's appropriate.
Other programs only as it applies to my theme team or if there is XP to be gained towards completing the season pass.
My reasoning for placing a focus on the season pass is mostly for the coin rewards and strategy cards. Also anything I can quick sell.
I still try to pick an offense and defense scheme and stick to it. I'll use solo battles and now seasons (a great addition this year) to collect stats (passing, rushing, tackles, sacks, etc) using my "scheme" and that's it.
I spend much less time on the console - the game feels more fresh and enjoyable and if I need a change of pace I'll change offense/defense philosophy and try new things.
Without a doubt, less gameplaying has turned into more enjoyment this year.
First the challenges were just stupid easy, now you have to tick off about 5 boxes to get max stars. Unless there’s a lot of gold at the end of a particular challenge, I’m not playing it. I buy good players in key spots, unfortunately, people see my lower overall and bail in squads.
I prefer a lower overall team with good key players and team chemistry rather than just a high ovr number. Play to have fun, that’s what you paid for

Nice. I am playing and buildmy team a lot like you. I enjoy the low overall for a change and it's been fun. I think my highest overall card is an 83 and my team is a 77 overall. I'm not even using the field pass reward players and if I do challenges I run on just one star. Could care less about the rewards. I am running a TT but I am only running the team that is for this year's season. So no legends for me. And if a player is injured out out for the year then I replace and use players that are going to play for the week. It's a bit challenging keeping up with the real league roster in mut but has been fun to do.
It keeps the game interesting and fun, like EA has failed to do for many years.

Heck Yeah

So true. So very true.

It absolutely is. There's a lot going on in the background with sliders being adjusted.
I just played someone who's team was 10 times worse than mine. He even had 1-2 high 60s on his OL and all his skill players were significantly worse than mine.
Let me tell you...It was a sweat fest for the 3 quarters. His line blocked everything, I couldn't get a shed with 86 and 87 guys across the line against gold and silver cards.
He on the other hand got several insta-sheds and stopped runs in the backfield without run committing. 87 Quentin Nelson, 86 Saturday, 85 Glasgow got punked - again - by cards that were 5-7 OVR worse. DDA is "in the game" and everyone who doesn't believe it is either in denial or a clown at this point - or both.
I've got more time on my hands this year since I'm playing way less h2h. I used to spend hours on Champions and win ~ 50% of my games. This year I find I can't compete so I get my life back a little :). I still enjoy the House Rules though.
