New Monthly write up series I thought of where I talk about some players from every month of new content that I think might be chosen by the lucky ones who pull a Golden Ticket as their GT of choice.
We're gonna see a lot more possible choices beginning in the month of October because that's when the seasonal programs (Most Feared, Harvest, Zero Chill, etc) start.
Anyways... here are the possible Golden Ticket choices we saw in August/September :)
Headliners:
One of the first programs of the year in Headliners was great overall and had some pretty nice player choices that might get Golden Tickets later in the year. One name stands out from the rest. Donald Parham Jr. This 6'8" 240 pound TE has been one of the biggest game breakers and hardest to defend against so far this year. This reminds me of Ed Too all Jones' Golden Ticket items last year (WR and CB). The two LTDs from this program in Jalen Hurts and DeMarcus Lawrence are also some of the best cards at their position even though we have some 90 and 91 OVRs at them already. I wouldn't be shocked if either gets chosen as a Golden Ticket. Other names that stand out for me are Javonte Williams, Gabriel Davis, and Divine Deablo.
Campus Heroes:
Campus Heroes gave us three of the best top tier players and a bunch of the best budget players in the game so far. I'm just gonna list the ones that stood out to me the most. Derrick Johnson, Grant Delpit, Junior Seau, Shaquil Barrett, Chase Young, DeMarco Murray, Jim Taylor, and Marcus Mariota.
Ultimate Kickoff:
Just like Campus Heroes, we got some great top tier and budget players from Ultimate Kickoff. It would be cool if two people that pulled Golden Tickets chose Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu as their Golden Ticket choices (with the Madden 10 throwback card art and everything). Other players that stood out to me from this program were Von Miller, Keanu Neal, Nakobe Dean, Budda Baker, and MUT legend Foyesade Oluokun.
Gridiron Guardians:
My favorite non-weekly program this year by far. We could see the Mentors and Alter Egos get Golden Tickets this year (Justin FIelds QB/CB, Sauce Gardner WR/CB, Tremaine Edmunds MLB/TE, and Cordarrelle Patterson HB/SS). Other players that stood out to me were Haason Reddick, DeForest Buckner, and Harrison Smith.
Competitive Field Pass:
The Competitive Field Pass refreshes this year haven't given us that many players. But there is one incredible player who has come from these CFP refreshes. 6'4" cornerback Tariq Woolen. Any CB with that height is guaranteed to be one of the best in the game. Don't be shocked to see this Seahawks rookie get a Golden Ticket later this year.
Legends:
Legends players typically don't get Golden Ticket items, but I think some might have a chance this year if they don't get Ultimate Legends or other high end cards later in the year. Those players are Herman Moore (6'4" WR), Steve Atwater, Jerome Bettis (both fan favorites that made their return to MUT this year after a one or two year long break), and Ray Nitschke (one of the toughest players of all time in my opinion; he would be a forced to be reckoned with on the field).
Team Of The Week:
Although I don't expect any of LTD/POTW/Champions to get Golden Tickets this year, we could see some meme players get some. Lance McCutcheon, Justin Reid (kicker), Jaylen Watson, and Josh Metellus.
AKA:
One of the best programs in recent years, we might see a bunch of AKA players get Golden TIckets just for the card art. Reggie White, Christian Okoye, Terrell Suggs, and, Kam Chancellor could get Golden Tickets if they don't get Ultimate Legends or other high end cards later in the year.
Which of these players (and others not listed above) do YOU think might get a Golden Ticket this year?
