2nd edition of my new monthly write up series. What is about? The title explains it all.
October brought a plethora of new MUT players, and a good portion of those might end up getting Golden Tickets. Let's see who they might be.
National Hispanic Heritage Month:
The only one of the 5 players that were a part of the National Hispanic Heritage Month program is none other than the 6'7" behemoth of a linebacker, Ted Hendricks, The Mad Stork. If his height doesn't convince you, then I'm not sure what will.
Most Feared:
I'm yall remember the tallest wide receiver and cornerback EVER in Madden (6'9"), OOP Golden Ticket Ed Too Tall Jones. This year's version of that might be Harold Carmichael, who stands at 6'8". Obviously this might be a most likely Golden Ticket choice in this entire thread due to his height alone. Other Most Feared players who I think might be chosen as a Golden Ticket are Tyreek Hill, Derwin James, and Derrick Henry.
Team Diamonds:
Team Diamonds don't usually get chosen as Golden Tickets, but their card art is used in Golden Ticket art. We might see Pete Metzelaars get a Golden Ticket due to his height (6'7"). Terrell Davis and London Fletcher are fan favorites, so if they don't get an Ultimate Legends item don't be surprised to hear their names being mentioned when someone brings up possible Golden Tickets.
Competitive Field Pass:
Both players from October's Competitive Field Pass refreshes were safeties, and very good safeties that were worth the grind (for those who could grind lol). Don't be surprised if some smart aleck decides to make a Golden Ticket Malik Hooker due to his last name.
Legends:
Like I said last time, Legends players typically don't get Golden Ticket items, but I think some might have a chance this year if they don't receive an Ultimate Legends card or other high end cards later in the year. Only ones from October that I think have a chance if they don't receive an Ultimate Legends item or another from a different program (Easter, Draft Past, etc) are Dante Hall (for his returning skills) and Nolan Cromwell (one of my favorite safeties and one of the best so far this MUT season).
Team Of The Week:
I feel like people will choose some players from this program as their Golden Ticket choice just because they are a massive fan of them in real life, they're doing well in the regular NFL Season, team bias, etc. C.J. Gardner Johnson, DeAndre Hopkins, and Kenneth Walker are a few names I'll throw around for this reason. Brandon Marshall and Plaxico Burress are big boys so they have a bigger chance at getting a Golden Ticket. Those who watch MMG and remember his Pack-N-Play series during Madden 21 have to remember how cracked Todd Heap was. Be aware of this in case one of his fans pulls a Golden Ticket.
AKA:
AKA-styled card art is definitely being used in the Golden Ticket program. Calvin Johnson, Darrelle Revis, Ed Too Tall Jones, Jevon Kearse, and a few others might receive a Golden Ticket item if they don't receive an Ultimate Legends card or other high end cards later in the year.
Which of these players (and others not listed above) do YOU think might get a Golden Ticket this year?
