Alright, alright... I just faced a legit child, he didn't have any abilities applied, although he did have a Deebo LTD he managed to pack.
I spent all game chatting with him, trying to make a few suggestions, guessing "Run" on 100% of plays, so he could bomb the ball downfield before ultimately conceding in the 4th quarter.
I have no problem stomping mouthy teenagers, no clue how old this kid was, but I'd certainly hope someone would take it easy if/when they face my 10 year old son. I genuinely just wanted him to have a good time, same thing I'd hope for any of us, but it's in no way fair, let alone fun in a game completely driven by abilities. QBs can't even throw the damn ball without SFL. Uggh. I wouldn't have been able to sleep tonight if I won that game, so apparently this does happen more than I realized.
How do you even go about trying to explain that to a new player?
