PREVENT COVER 2/3 BOMBS

Most people have had their Cover 3/Cover 2 formations beaten for a one play TD very often! Let me explain how to prevent this. 

Cover 3 - A Cover 3 typically has 2 outside thirds and a middle third! The outside thirds are very vulnerable to one play TDs! To help prevent this, put both of the outside thirds in a deep half assignment! This will help them not bite down on crossers and play overtop to not let up one play TDs. 

Cover 2 - A Cover 2 typically has 2 deep halves! This leaves the deep middle of the field WIDE open for one play TDs and bombs! To prevent this, put one of your LBs in a middle third assignment! This will prevent anything deep over the middle!

This will help you prevent getting bombed a lot and will help prevent one play scores!

Note:I believe the everything bomb from Bunch Te will be able to beat this.

I almost added this to your Cover 2 beater post. (which was great btw)

Getting that sub lb in a middle third and pass committing (many times adjusting over the top) solves a lot of one play beater issues.

Then you can focus on guessing with your user and trying to get your zone drops right in the flats.. and the dline eventually has to get some sheds.. Mix in some unique blitzes from the same look and it works well.

I typically play this shell defense, and then switch it up in the red zone, where 'over the top' isn't an option. I think that's the safest/smartest way to play defense this season on next gen.

U didnt bomb me when I was in zone  lol, u just threw over my flats... you only bombed me if I ran man
